We have a ban on cigarettes and booze. When they lift it there is going to be hell.
We are opening restaurants for delivery only maybe uk could have gone that route first.
I mean I suppose if they stay in their cars it’s ok?
Aren’t they opening McD’s, Greggs, KFC and the like so the suicide rates don’t skyrocket???

Well not really because if there’s an accident en route then that takes up precious nhs and police resource during a time of a national emergency. Just imagine someone not getting covid treatment on time because they were airlifting some fat tattooed cant out of his Audi A3 covered in sausage and egg McMuffins
Going to Mackie D's is a big night out in places like that.

I know the NHS are grafted their ar5es off at the moment, but I’d be surprised to hear their being asked to work CVoid wards and operate helicopters for A&E simultaneously.
Side note. I don’t see any worsening of risk from going through a drive thru at Mc Ds to buying food from a supermarket.
Well that 'new normal' aged well, didn't it?

My mate runs a ward at MK hospital and it has beds for 40 people. Since the lockdown her ward hasn’t had more than 12 beds used at once.
She said ICU is very busy but everywhere else is really quiet.
That's because any non-essential admissions have been postponed

Which is why saying things like it's 'really quiet' is very misleading.

It isn’t as it is really quiet in certain sections of hospitals right now
Oh well that's alright then. Everything is fine...

I believe Stoke Mandeville are thinking or are bringing in people for non essential operations.
My dad has been waiting for a steroid injection for the pain he suffers in his knee. Even little things like that have been put on hold. The NHS is going to have a major backlog to catch up on when they start to ease restrictions.
They already are. My wife got called in for her scans that was cancelled a few weeks ago yesterday
My Mum is a manager on an ICU ward and has been run off her feet, my Sister-in-law is a nurse for Bupa, her hospital agreed to treat NHS patients and they've done hardly anything since the lockdown.
