Poch Wants to Manage Spurs Again

You're the ones that insist onbeing disrespectful to your own manager, talking about other managers all the time, it's unbelievable. You're such a small club as well, you've achieved nothing in your pathetic mediocre history, you're so luck that a manager like Mourinho would even think about managing and this is how you treat him.

Unbelievable. I'm done here, you're all idiots.

Aren't you constantly talking about a different manager than Lampard?

Sorry mate, but he won nothing in his five years at Spurs with Spurs best team in a generation. His time has come and gone.

We have moved on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who assembled that team on a budget far lower than rival clubs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agree but should have won a trophy. Every other top 6 club won a trophy whilst we didn't.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool won one (I believe?). And it could've gone our way. We're talking about a one-off game which the victor is hailed one of the best managers around and the other is sacked shortly after.

Fine margins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mate, im not disagreeing with you. I get fine margins and all that. I loved Poch but I still think he should have won us a trophy with the best squad we have had in decades

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was in a similar boat to Klopp at Liverpool before Klopp got some real money to spend, although Poch had to deal with a change of stadium, no money to spend for a year, and still performed better in the league than Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Us signing vvd Alisson and fabinho when spurs signed no one was the difference, both sides were on a par but we spent serious money on top players and spurs didn't which is a pity for spurs cause that was the real opportunity to go to the next level.

But you did build a savage new ground so in the long run it could work out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This isn’t really true, to be fair. Spurs not spending contributed to their decline, but they’d sold Wakker and others were already starting decline in the squad. Liverpool’s squad was in a better shape than Spurs’ was to kick on

Most of that the best players were there before Pochettino arrived. So no he didn`t actually assemble the team. The previous managers did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Then why didn’t we win trophies with those players before Poch arrived. If, as you say, it was the best team in a generation ?

Poch did well to build a title challenging side in 15/16 after reaching a league cup final.

You could probably say the inexperience of the squad and manager at that point was a key issue and Leicester coming out of nowhere. Although if Leicester had not been the Leicester they were it would have been interesting to see if we would have gone as far as we did that year.

The following year you could say the squad and manager had learned a lot from that experience and achieved 86 pts but then Chelsea produced a 90 plus point season from nowhere.

However the 2 x FA cup semi finals and further league cup semi final, ending with the CL final defeat, although demonstrated a high degree of performance consistency, also showed a huge weakness.

Nah, you only brought two decent players, that shouldn`t have made that much of a difference. Our manager just could not motivate the team to win. He dismissed domestic trophies like they didn`t matter. That is pretty unforgiveable in my book.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did he dismiss the FA cup semi finals in 2017 and 2018 when our strongest teams were fielded and we lost both ?

If that weakness was Poch, what was it?

Cos this serial winner has us losing at home on pens to Norwich in the cup.

Not for Mourinho though. When he loses in his first not even full season, it's a stick you use to beat him with. Your own manager

The state of you.

Over the last few years Spurs have had the best full backs in Europe/England, best CBs in England/Europe, the best midfield in England, the best striker in the world and a ‘world class’ goalkeeper

If Poch couldn’t win a trophy with all the above considered he’s not gonna win you one with this lot

I don't think I have ever criticised Mourinho for not having a 100% win rate but ok mate continue acting like you care about supporting your own manager

You've become a real miserable caaant honestly wahl, "state of you' this and that. Used to be a much more fun, friendly wum rather than a moody one like rdd
