I use the filter function to give people a chance to cool down when they start following me around the site . Only do it for the 7 days. Apart from that I would rather call them a caaaant than filter.

I was messing with Liverpool fans by claiming that City were better than them in some way and then Melton dude comes and starts disagreeing with me, so I had to filter him. He totally almost ruined the fun.

That’s a very good reason, to be fair.

Nobody. I've never understood the point of coming on to a forum and blocking people you don't agree with. If it gets to a point where people are abusive, they'll get banned anyway. The WUMs and the nutcases are part of the fun of 606.

I get that, but there are people even on this forum I just don't want to interact with for one reason or another. Filtering is perfect because it just solves that problem.

I used to have the entire Pool board filtered, but decided go give them all a second chance.

I would add, the Pool members have not changed one iota, still camped on the Spurs board and still the first to comment on any article that as much as only hints it might affect their entitlements. Their radar is as strong as ever, and they continue to be the worst posters on the site.

It depends really. Especially if you are someone that writes articles. Having certain posters that continually derail articles (usually the Liverpool fans) filtered can solve that issue.
