It will inevitably be abandoned just like the lower leagues.

Any league that doesn't generate enough money to play behind closed doors and get on TV will not be operational any time soon.

Its brave to try to keep going but unfortunately, women's football will cost more money to run than they can earn.

Woman’s football

You can’t do that, it hurst the integrity of the league.

How can you start next season without finishing this one.

There will be court cases everywhere

Just play the games at neutral venues

Play the games abroad

Think of the mo way they will have to give back

Player contracts won’t matter, they can just be forced to play for their current clubs

Why don’t we just wait until next February and complete this seasons WSL then.

Tell that to the National League which has been abandoned and is probably as rich as women's football.

Comparing women's football to the Prem?

Ladies team abandoned at first opportunity. Yet another example of walking alone.

“ Liverpool and CHELSEA are among a NUMBER OF Women’s Super League teams who do not want the season to resume over fears that it would endanger player safety. Their club representatives will relay this information to the Football Association this week.“

Are Spurs’ & Everton’s WSL teams amongst that ‘number of’ who also want to mens PL season completed?

No mention of Chelsea either but has a pop at Liverpool

Like I said faux outrage

It’s about the integrity of the league.

Some here seem fair that it’s okay to risk men at football, but the women must be kept safe.

Follow the men’s top league.

Do the same, otherwise it’s a sexist move by Liverpool and Chelsea.

Its not?

Choice City would disagree because we all know the lifeboats are for women and children.

This is the right thing to do. Liverpool do not deserve criticism for taking appropriate action

Any quotes in that article saying that?

A Liverpool spokesman said:-

"During this crisis, it would be much better if the girls were back home doing the washing and ironing. Those floors won't mop themselves".

don't see any problem with it.
Chelsea still have a chance of winning the league, but are happy for it to be stopped.
I ain't subscribing to see the rest of the article, but it doesn't appear like Liverpool are asking for relegation to be scrapped, or the whole season voided.
so it's not like they're trying to get out of being relegated.

need to be a bit more honest about the reason though, it's going to be about money.
the WSL is probably a money loser for every team even without the coronavirus.

and the financial pressure simply isn't there to justify continuing, it's not like sky will want a billion quid back for not showing all the wsl games,
right now all the clubs finances will be under enough pressure due to the mens game that continuing with another loss making team's season alongside it just doesn't make good sense.

I think they should award the trophy to Chelsea and relegate Liverpool. That seems to be the formula for the men`s competition.

Seems legit. It's all about the integrity of the competition.

For the mens game, can the league/PFA/clubs force the players to risk being infected?

10 in germany have tested positive it seems.
