“Have you ever seen a better goal...and have you ever seen one better timed?”....
Love it
I was there, we had season tickets in low fields, was chaos after that match as someone was saying other results had gone our way and some people thought we were up.
I remember Mccallister scored for them from corner to him at edge of box, he scored similar one after joining us.
If only we could have seen scenes that that at Elland Rd this year!
That's the shame infinite, was looking forward to Bielsa maybe letting himself celebrate, those players redeeming themselves after last season, just not the same if promoted behind closed doors.
I feel very sorry for Bielsa who has won so little at club level for him to miss out on this.
and we miss all this:

Yes Jonty, agree with that.
Can’t help but think that this season needs to be completed though...even if it’s in 5 years time...too many teams with too much at stake for it to be null and voided.
Probably my all time favourite goal.
Spent my life going to school being mocked for supporting my local team through those 82-88 years
Just when it seemed like we were going to mess it up the greatest player the world has ever seen smashes in a left footer.
Never experienced a more deafening crowd noise.
Simply one of the greatest moments I’ll cherish forever
Thanks again wee Gordan
Gordon - damn auto speller
Priceless. hope all this will happen again soon...

Tears to my eyes that this might not happen this season when it should.
I was nine, had a ticket in seating lowfields.
I can remember it like yesterday, atmosphere was unbelievable.
And Jonty is right, it was chaos because there was false rumours about us being up. No smart Phones in them days
Think you will never see a better goal from a right back than this

He wishes he was 21... no actually he wishes I was 21.
On the topic, I don’t remember this game, too young. I also don’t remember the 1st Division win.
Missing out there Pags.....I know we’ve won League 1 since these titles, but 90 and 92 are really special years...I was in my early 20s and I’d just moved to Canada (for the 92 Div 1 win), and technology back then was waiting for the results to be posted on a newspaper phone in sports section - it was murder waiting for the Sheff Utd v Leeds result...
...One of the most ridiculous games ever -with the bizarre (you might be a blunt but thankyou) Brian Gayle beauty as the icing on the cake!

I wasn’t born until 1987. I loved the promotion from league one but I know it does not compare to 90 and 92 which is why I’ve been so excited about this season as it just seemed like our year, even more so than last year.
However I want it to be safe to return and not rush. I’ve lost a family member since this shutdown (not covid but was tested) and it was surreal and horrible. Funeral was ten of us. No service, music I played from my phone and I wasn’t allowed to hug my family and had to maintain a 6ft distance. I don’t want others to go through that if they don’t need to.
I totally sympathise Pags - Immediate family bereavement last Thursday - we spoke to coroner yesterday and we cant do anything in terms of planning a funeral due to backlog with present crisis.
As you related, sounds like the ceremony will be awful - cant go near family members allowed to attend, which is variable depending on local policy.
Please everyone keep safe.
Sorry to hear this Pags, Rev, not only is it heartbreaking that you can't say goodbye properly, but nothing canoes that later on, it's a memory stuck forever, I guess amongst loads of memories good and bad we'll have forever from this.
Cheers Jonty - your a gentleman.
Sorry for your losses Pags and Rev.....incredibly tough situations to deal with, My mum and dad are still in Manchester and my sisters both in London, and the thought of something bad happening looms large when you know not only will you not be able to have a proper send off, but probably can’t travel there anyway.
All the best to you both.
but nothing canoes that later on
should have been
but nothing can change that later on
