How does reducing half times reduce the risk? Doesn't take 45 minutes to get infected, and as you say the bigger risk is from contact.

Could they be anymore desperate.

Who listens to Gordon Taylor these days

Apparently they're also trying to push games that feature less than 11 a side. 5 a side is being mentioned.

It feels like they are throwing more and more ridiculous ideas around so that when they inevitably cancel, they can say they tried everything.

Absolute farce with what's being proposed.

Let's face it they are so desperate to restart the season that they seem to be open to any idea not matter how bad.

The league and cups are already tainted for this season and as every day goes by the likelihood of no football this season grows stronger.

I think if they decided to play the remaining Prem fixtures in Australia with no crowds and 30 minute halves Liverpool fans would agree.

These ideas get more desperate everyday.

10 minutes a half is my limit

This is about as credible as deciding games on a round of Crossbar Challange.

I spy with my little eye instead of the coin toss, and goalkeeper to have a box of wet wipes in the goal to use everytime he collects the ball.

Wonder what else they will think off

Get all premier league players and the staff tested. See who has the virus and what's the numbers like. If the infection rate is low, get the players to self-isolate regardless of their infection status, then after 2 weeks clubs can play the games behind closed doors.

I'm sure the clubs themselves have doctors that can carry out these tests. Does the league/FA/clubs even know where everyone of their staff stands in this pandemic?

That should be the first step.

How about a penalty shoot-out using club mascots only?

First thing...utterly stupid idea

second thing, they haven't said what time they will play...like it'll make a difference

90 minutes of play in full nuclear-spec hazmat suits.

Club branded, of course. Just think of the merchandising opportunities in that.

It's getting stupid now. Does he not realise how ridiculous this sounds?

I'd be interested to know sky and BT's stance on their TV deals. Would they want a full refund? Would they want to negotiate future rights at a discount?

Given the premier league's desperation I'm assuming the TV money may be withheld if there's no football.

All matches to be played under spotlight no matter what time of day,but with UV bulbs fitted,as recommended by the leader of the free world

Could try playing it like a life sized game of table football. Every player can only move inside a small radius adequately spaced apart in terms of social distancing.

I read something the other day, its more likely BT and Sky will ask for more live games next year to make up the money.

No chance they will get a discount on the next round of biding.

If people are talking about the whole of next season behind closed doors, no reason why every single game cant be live on TV.

The clubs could end up getting more money than if they had crowds (except maybe the top few teams)

Let all TV companies bid for the extra games, this would generate enough cash to make up for this year should the season not be able to finish.

Another day goes by and Project Restart gets more and more idiotic and insane.

Players are afraid! There not stupid!

Well one of those statements is true

Just null and void before it becomes an even bigger farce.

Lots of new laws being rushed into place by opportunistic politicians all over the world.

I wouldn't put it past the football authorities to start laying ground for the much touted ban on headers.
