2 different films.

Bohemian Rhapsody was a story about Queen’s music

Rocketman was a Musical about Elton’s life

Only seen the Queen one
Good performances but why go all the trouble to recreate Live Aid only to fudge the history of the band.

Enjoyed your 1917 v Dunkirk and the Hollowman v Invisible Man articles, but this one is of no interest unfortunately. I’ve avoided both films as I’m not a fan of Queen or Elton, although still recognise their talent.

Any plans for future vids?

So you would think.

Same directors, both had the same talent manager, both leads had issues being truthful to their own sexuality. Both huge in the 70s (and some of the eighties).

What do you think of the following:

Shoplifters vs Parasite.

The Purge vs The Hunt

The Boys vs Watchmen (TV)

No massive spoilers

Are there spoilers for biopics? Are there people out there unaware Mercury died or John is homosexual?

I saw BH at the cinema and loved it. Wish I had seen Rocketman at the cinema to really compare.
Both brilliant films

I like my tunes with an Indy slant so neither artist appeals to me at all.

However after much nagging I watched Rocketman with the missis a couple of weeks ago and it was alot better than I expected.

Having been pleasantly surprised by that I'm now building up the strength to give Bohemian.R a go.

Not seen Rocketman, but I did go to the pictures to see Bohemian Rhapsody.

I hardly ever go to the pictures but some films really benefit from the big-screen experience, and this is one - the music and the energy and the sense of 'being there' for the Live Aid set just can't be replicated at home. Thought it was a great film even though the film-makers made some quite questionable decisions regarding the order in which things happened.

Well that's fine, but I bet the other people in the cinema weren't very happy with you
