I’m sure if it was this incident in isolation then it wouldn’t be such a big deal. But it’s on the back of him getting caught out having a party with prostitutes, so he’s opened himself up to this.

Was it stupidity or arrogance on his part? He was certainly stupid if he thought no-one would grass him up to the law or the media. Certain media reporters love to get hold of a story like this.

Disgraceful by Walker but you’d expect nothing less from a City player. When a club regularly breaks rules itself, expect its players to do the same.

What are the circumstances here? Has he been isolated for weeks? If so what is the issue with going to see a relative?

Messed up how the Sun are really nailing him for this whilst paying no attention to the fact we are the worst hit country in Europe. Walker has been a little silly, but I’d say there’s still more chance of catching it taking a trip to the supermarket than anything he has done. The general standard of journalism throughout this whole thing has been pitiful.

He's also been criticised for going out cycling with his mate.

I went out cycling yesterday and it was like being in a fekin pelaton.

Can't believe anyone would defend this guy.

The whole self policing and shaming thing has been exhausting too. Thousands of people venting faux outrage who were probably all sharing ‘Be Kind’ Caroline Flack memes a few weeks back.

It’s what newspapers like the Sun thrive on. They create the outrage, and their readers buy it. Thousands of people flouting the law in parks etc. Then they see a footballer in their newspaper and then it becomes all footballers are the problem.
