You imply a lot from people’s comments, usually with no justification or logic behind it. It’s weird, but funny to watch.
Fair play he’s on the WUM, it worked by the looks of it. Yep I was wrong there. However not wrong on the comments you’ve got wrong here.
Can you do the same and admit you got it wrong? But of reciprocation wouldn’t go amiss.

So Fields, Welshpool and Thor, I look forward to making a ridiculously derogatory comment about Liverpool in the future and can be confident you won’t bring United into it as a retort.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not? I have literally nowhere said thay you cannot talk about other clubs. In fact, I would even be willing to admit I was the one who brought united up in that scenario.

Great, then when you do, I’ll accuse you of turning it into a diick measuring contest and it’ll be entirely your fault, not mine.

But at least our club would rather take the hit financially than use tax payers hard earned in a global pandemic to furlough non-playing staff to save a couple of quid.

Or has it been an ongoing issue for months/years with the club writing to them saying that they mustn't, the game saying OK we won't, then carrying on. Then ignoring the solicitors letters , do it's come to this.
Or somewhere in between.

May well of been. Can’t imagine there’s been nearly 30 years of cease and desist letters being I gnoses wpthiht it being taken further sooner.
Fields, just to clear one thing up, I do admit when I’m wrong and it’s happened plenty of times on this forum, so you are absolutely incorrect to say that about me.
Funnily enough, one occasion was in reply to Robbing, when I also apologised for the mistake because it involved a personal comment about his family that I had missed.
Given what has gone on since, it seems a little crazy, but I’m quite satisfied that I’m someone who acts with decency in that respect.
You can accuse me of many things but failing to admit when I’ve made a mistake is entirely inaccurate. Just wanted to make that point.

Agree, definitely not 30 years. I'm not being contravertial,, I've never seen the game or images, if they've always used them with no trouble they will probably win.
Winston
The many many occasions on here show you doing the exact opposite. Do I mean literally every time? No. There will be examples of you doing so I’m sure. However there’s also plenty examples of numerous people, independent of one another, showing you were you’ve got something wrong, and you’re response being point blank refusing to admit it.
No doubt your report will be to point out club allegiances. You label us a ‘gang’ and highlight the times Liverpool fans prove you wrong, this article being a prime example. I have no affiliation with Robbing, Welsh, Thor, TOOR et al. Aside from supporting the same football club. They could be sound, they could be arseholes. I don’t know. But you’ve got it into your head well get together to conspire against you. Think about that and how crazy it sounds.
You also ignore the occasions fans of other clubs, including your own, level the same accusation or hold the same opinion. Any denial of this will be ridiculous. You have a reputation for doing so held by many on this site. Comments in the survey of the year competition for example show this.
When it’s many people holding the same opinion surely someone as introspective as yourself would be able to reflect and wonder if there’s any validity to it.

I’ve explained why and I’m not sure I can write it in any other way than I have.
You disagree, fine. We’re going round in circles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Final addition.
The reason we disagree is because the logic you are using is faulty in the extreme. The only possible connection between Robbing's comment and Liverpool is that Robbing is a liverpool fan. That doesn't automatically mean he is comparing United to Liverpool. If that was an acceptable assumption then nobody could ever make any sort of comment without it being completely dismissed due to bias.
Gary Neville has a large United bias. If he is a pundit for the Chelsea v West Ham game and he decides to point out that Chelsea did some awful defending it doesn't automatically mean he is comparing them to United and suggesting United would defend it better. He is making and observation and judgement that has nothing to do with his bias. Even if it was a Chelsea v United game and he highlighted a piece of poor defending from Chelsea, it doesn't mean he is comparing them to United. It is an observation.
Since it is entirely possible for someone to comment on something without comparing it to the team they have an affiliation with, then we have to accept comments at face value unless there is evidence to the contrary.
So if we look at Robbing's comment without applying an assumed fallacy that he has to be talking about Liverpool in all his comments then we actually see that he makes no reference, explicit or implicit, to any other team. None whatsoever. Even if you wanted to infer that he is comparing with other teams, there is no possible inference within the comment itself as to which team. There is as much evidence that he is comparing United with Sunderland, or Derby.
The first time that anyone makes a direct comparison between United and any other team is in Keano comment. This doesn't refer to Liverpool by name but it mentions the furlough criticism which applied to Liverpool (and other clubs) and then refers directly to Robbing's club (which is Liverpool). This is a comment in which you can say there is an implication of Liverpool. It also means that Keano introdiced the comparison and thus the Diick measuring contest.
That is the entire debate question we have been having. Not whether Robbing was wumming, nor whether Keano was justified in making the comparison. The question we were discussing was who made the comparison.
The reason you cannot agree is because you are stuck in your faulty logic circle. You are making a fallacious assumption that people cannot discuss something unless it is something they are directly connected with without making it a comparison. Since we know from my G Neville example, that it is possible for people to discuss things without comparing to their own team then we cannot assume that they are doing so without evidence.
Since there is no evidence within Robbing's comment to suggest he is making such a comparison, it is incorrect to assume he is (particularly when that assumption is based on a lack of evidence - something you were very adamant on yesterday). Therefore it is incorrect to say Robbong introduced the comparison. Once you accept that this is a faulty argument then you are left with the evidence that exists. To flip it, I am not suggesting that Keano has to be making the comparison because he is a Unites fan - I am suggesting it because it is specifically written in his comment.
Have a nice day.
What on earth happened here
Fields, that’s a laughable post.
Firstly, just because you think I’ve been proven wrong, doesn’t mean I have. There are many occasions where I’ve admitted I’m wrong and so you’re proven to be incorrect. That’s just a fact.
Onto the point about you and your behaviour, it’s no coincidence that I have similar issues with you across threads where other Liverpool fans are involved and very rarely otherwise.
There are some examples of fans from other clubs having criticisms of me, but they’re not particularly common and generally they’re about my stubbornness and refusal to let things go.
You can try and justify it all you like but if you read back across our various arguments, it’s usually you who decides to come at me and it’s usually me who tries to be reasonable in the face of your childishness.
Get your own house in order before sitting in judgement of me and if you’re going to accuse me of something, be sure to get it right or I’ll put you straight.
I’ve given you many, many opportunities to be decent with me but you’re intent on arguing. That’s your choice, but don’t be surprised when you’re treated accordingly.

Knew he’d respond even though you said it was rhetorical. You see when you said it was rhetorical you implied, through the force, that it wasn’t.
Maybe Winston’s picking up these implications from your body language or something.

I didn’t reply to the question though, I replied to the comment as a whole.
Let me know if you don’t understand.

Yes you did, you said this;

Looks that way to me yeah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh, absolutely right.
It’s not as if Fields, Welshpool or Thor will argue for pages and pages with me, is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. I think we have to look at common denominators in situations like this. For a moment there I thought you were returning to your utter ball bag mentalist days before your covid hiatus.
Anyway Im glad that's all sorted. I'm going to have poached eggs, avacado and reduced cherry tomatoes in the garden. Too early for garlic you say? I thought that so will take a beer too.
Have a nice day everyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, and the common denominator is a small handful of Liverpool fans, as it’s always been.
The thread that had hundreds of comments on before I joined this week is undeniable proof of that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Great, then when you do, I’ll accuse you of turning it into a diick measuring contest and it’ll be entirely your fault, not mine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes it absolutely would be. That is what I have been suggesting this entire thread. Glad that you finally agree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree. It’s absurd. Laughable.
But rest assured, I’ll remember it for the future.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you don't agree but you would accuse others of it in the future? Sounds about right for you.

I’ll refer you to Robbings reply about it. Best you move on.

Thank you.
But no, I wasn’t wrong.
I’m often wrong and I’ll admit it when I am, but I wasn’t wrong here.

Your reply to his rhetorical question was it’s not just you that does that in defence of from is claim. It’s whataboutery but it’s a still a reply.
Proof you won’t admit when you’re wrong. Yet another one of your common refrains you out to others but don’t apply to yourself.

I only need to go back to the very first page where Keano makes the comparison. I'll leave it with you in black and white and leave you to come up with more convoluted ways to claim someone else did it. Have fun.

Fair.
But at least our club would rather take the hit financially than use tax payers hard earned in a global pandemic to furlough non-playing staff to save a couple of quid.

, this confinement is costing us, let's sue spmepne
Or has it been an ongoing issue for months/years with the club writing to them saying that they mustn't, the game saying OK we won't, then carrying on. Then ignoring the solicitors letters , do it's come to this.
Or somewhere in between.
