The CL probably won't be such an issue. Come August or whenever it is finished, things will be very different. I agree that there will be thousands of people out and about when we win this. It is pretty much guaranteed. I don't see how you stop it without a large police presence. The only thing that may stop it is pubs still being shut and bad weather.

It makes more sense to get the government to intervene and approve a parade on the basis people don't go out, yet can have one day in celebration

But that won't happen either. You can't bargain with people by saying if we do x, you can't do y. Never happen.

If pubs are open again by the end of the season then there will be a second wave
I've heard that there are three mayors, three cities that still haven't agreed to the return of football. Talks to be held.
If this is true I've no doubt Liverpool will be one of these cities. The Liverpool mayor, and Everton fan, came out in the media against project restart so that makes it likely.
“ fans of their teams do not go out in the immediate aftermath to celebrate”
How do you police this? It’s be done on trust. You can have a parade but promise you won’t go out after.
It’d never happen IMO.
Is it going to be any different to what we say in some streets over VE day?
these clubs and players just need to suck it up
sorry but our title was done in march and it's now end of may. I cant see the same level of euphoria over it like the cl final return.
it's almost like we should put in in the back pocket and we are in preseason for next one now.
I agree on points above about ve day etc. mainly it's the panickers and tut stutters who would close every business and football club permanently if they were allowed to run things.
I wont be partying but if others want to and the lock down is basically over by them why on earth should people not do what they want?
what phase or alert level will exist in Tory land by july when this comes up? 2? 3?

Looking at the rate that things are slowing down then I would say that by the end of the season, if the current trend continues, we will be back to similar figures that we were before they shut the pubs if not better.

If there's no parade then honestly Klopp and the team should go door-to-door of every house in the city and give the fans an opportunity to kiss the trophy.
Only viable solution.

Good point OP. For everyone's safety I really hope Man City win the CL so we only get a few dozen people mixing outside during the celebrations.

Disinfecting it between every house of course
just have the parade on a beach n take the bus down the beach. Apparently mass gatherings are fine on beaches.
Could just have it on display at Barnard Castle and invite fans across the country to come and see it, apparently that's ok too
The solution would be for all of you to celebrate the title in the town centre where you live. Should mean the celebrations are safely spread out and socially distanced all over the country then.
If City did win the CL (which is very possible I think) I wonder if they'd be allowed to compete in the Super Cup next season and be a UEFA's representative in the World Club Cup?
As for celebrations I'm sure fans would be sensible about all of this.
