Everyone will have long gone back to work by the time football returns.

The starting date of June 12 will be moved to the third week of June. By that time, nonessential workers will also be back at work. Out of the whole country, footballers will be the only workers left at home because apparently project restart is all about the money, greed etc. Makes sense.

Yep almost every business will be open by 15th June except possibly football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Airlines,hairdressers,barbers,airports,hotels,pubs,clubs,restaurants off the top of my head will not be open before football starts,that's without any hospitality events,zoos,travelling fairgrounds etc.

Yip football will be the last 'industry' to return

Will all those employees above be tested constantly like footballers and club staff

Who gives a fack about footy with that on. It’s about staying safe, and starting up again, with 150+ (even tested) people at each match, is not essential, and makes a mockery of what those on the front like have fought.

Just pointing out that an enormous amount of the economy will not be back before football resumes.

The leisure sector alone employs around 6 million when you add in the above to caravan sights,cafes,seaside fairgrounds,B&B's and all the service industries that provide for them.

Just pointing out to the fooking idiot who reckoned Football would be 'one of the last'.

Even when it comes to solely sports it will be nowhere near the last.

We are in 5th. The only reason we’d want it voided for footy reasons would be is city were banned. That would be hollow.

And to be fair we were on the up before it all stopped, we might even do even better with it restarted.

Either way, it wasn’t a factor in my thinking. I’d rather people lived than Man Utd got cl place. That shiiit isn’t important.

For what it's worth, the selfish Leeds side of me would like the season to be called on PPG and promotion and relegations stand.

But from a fairness perspective, playing the season is the only way forward, provided that it is safe to do so, which, at the moment, most people who know what they are talking about are saying it is/will be.

I don't think anyone is putting lives above football. I've seen plenty of people take joy in the pandemic because they think it might mess around Liverpool fans, though.
