Seriously with no crowds, the ECB should have at least used logic and played the games at ground where the weather is statistically better - then they schedule 2 out of 3 at OT
If anyone is bored give this a go

I only got 32/48 I should have at least gotten 40.
its gonna rain down south tomorrow and be dry up north. so its swings and roundabouts
Bess straight in, need more of this, WI content to see this out for draw
Englands only chance of winning this is bowling West Indies all out today for say under 250, enforce the follow on, maybe there are 8-10 overs left of play, England manage to get a late wicket, then every chance they can get 9 wickets tomorrow to clinch this without West Indies scoring too many.
The pitch that was such a minefield for England, strangely seems placid now
50 runs in first hour, England 200 all day
England slow batting has stopped them winning this test.
Its certainly made it difficult, yet so many praising England batting
Of course the batting should be praised, they scored 470 runs at just shy of 2.9 an over. We've lost a day to rain which looks like it will cause this test to be a draw.
We can't keep doing this where we get facked off with the batsmen when they get all out for under 250 by playing careless shots but then get facked off when they apply themselves and get 450 but take a bit longer in doing so.
Not taking enough wickets seems to be the problem so far today.

Good individual efforts, but from a team and match point of view which cricket being a team sport, not so good, we all knew that a considerable amount of time would be taken out of this match by rain

This.
It's all very well we should've batted for a 4 day test but the pitch was misbehaving and we might well have ended up with a really low total, and the Windies might easily have ended up winning inside 4 days instead.
Losing a full day reduces the chances of getting a positive result regardless of how you bat, so surely runs on the board (even at a relatively slow rate - though 2.9 an over is hardly that slow) are worth more than anything else...
Also worth bearing in mind we lost the toss so we had to bat during the most difficult period of the match. You can't just say "we knew we'd lose a day so we should've hurried along at 5 an over" when there's every chance that would've meant getting bundled out for 200. You'll notice how the big scorers were the ones who dug in and scored attritionally on a slow outfield. The dashers struggled to get going.

Completely agree, feel like some people don’t really know what Test match cricket is about.
It's about managing the 5 days of cricket and factoring in time, pitch and weather conditions, they all knew that it would rain and a considerable amount of time would be lost, this has to be factored in, they are professionals now or should be
England are a terrible cricket team.. they have been for years. the only beat SA because SA are very poor at the moment.

I think Root is a poor captain too negative, lost the first test on his decision at the toss, batted too long on Friday, but suppose he has his team around him
Stokes gets Brathwaite. Strangely silent for a few seconds.
