Standard England batting right back after lockdown
Sky not prepared for re start, cameras and score card not working
Jesus Christ covers are off stumps are going in and we have to wait another 15 minutes
Hopefully it carries on raining so we can salvage a draw
Prediction for our first innings...170-6 or 7 before a lower order batsman like Butler or Archer has a cameo to get us to 260 all out
Sounds about right palmers.
Looks like a good pitch to Bowl on
Good battle this. Windies seamers are quality.
Roach is only 32, he seems to have been around fecking ages
Windies slowly looking a lot stronger as a test side tbf
34-1 counts as a great start for us
Burns is the real deal. Finally a reliable opener. Shame he wasn't given a chance when Cook was around.

absolute joke that. was playing well for surrey for a while, completely missed the boat with having him and Cook as openers for years before Cook retired.
I think Sibley could be the real deal too, still inexperienced but he definitely has something about him.
Just not today

it’s true tbf
The selectors didn't like Burns because of his weird, fidgety technique. But you don't get 1,000 County runs 6 summers on the trot without being a good bat.
Sibley looks like a really good bat too. Time is on his side. Great start to his career though.
Are they starting early today to make up lost time from yesterday?
I haven't checked but I can tell you the answer is no as that would involve using common sense.
Seems extremely unlikely.
God, the slowness of decision-making when rain or bad light interferes... Absolutely infuriating
In the case of bad light, if the floodlights are on why dont they change to a white ball and get on with it! Just a thought
Who'd have thought picking openers with a solid defence and consistent first class runs is a better bet than one day specialists 'having a go'.
There's the potential for us to have a decent batting line up over the next few years. I like Silverwood too. What he did with Essex was remarkable.
Feel like we're finally on the right path in test matches.
Gabriel was only a reserve call-up wasn't he? Crazy. He's a really good bowler.
