Jadon Sancho

If Sancho is anything near as good as everyone says and worth the money being quoted then he will have no problems playing on either side. If you don't believe that then you should stop holding him to such high regard.

We need to build a top squad that can play multiple formations. There'll be plenty of games for Greenwood, Sancho, Martial and Rashford. Mata, Lingard and Andreas have sometimes played false 9, #10 and RW positions, but I doubt you'll see them play any of those positions next season if Sancho or an alternative is bought. that would free up a lot of game time.

Is RDD on the wum about right sided vs right footed?

The clue is in the wording! Right sided, plays on the right hand SIDE

I don't see where he fits in at United. He plays on the left where Rashford plays. Meaning one of them will have to play out of position. I've seen much more of Rashford playing on the right, and it does take a lot away from his game but for me it takes more away from Sancho's, although I have only seen him play on the right for England.

He would play on the right, If he joins us.

Theyve bought Ziyech, already have Pulisic and CHO (assuming he doesnt get jail time) and look to be signing Werner who can play left.

Utd dont have a single right sided forward really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Right sided?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes a player that plays on the right hand side.

From now on everytime you ask a sh!t question I'm going to drown a puppy. Think on or there will be blood on your hands.

I'd prefer a left footer

Tbf, Sancho mainly plays on the right but I’ve seen plenty of Dortmund games and I’d say he plays 20-30% of the time on the left.

When has the word sided EVER been used in football to describe a players position?

Hudson-Odoi has been pathetic don't understand why people think having him would stop Chelsea going for Sancho.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The guy is 19 and has shown potential. He needs games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Too much money too soon, but even before he got that he had the big time charlie attitude.

Hasn't produced anywhere near enough when he does play.

Then broke the lockdown rules with some dodgy circumstances around an injured woman which he may or may not have something to do with.

He's on a fast track to the scrapheap.

He's played on the right most of the time for dortmund and is fantastic on both sides.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I find that shocking as everytime I've watched Dortmund he has played on the left.

Didn't have a great game on the weekend there, from the left and missed an absolute sitter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t know game you were watching but other than the bad miss he was very good. Probably the best player on the pitch and had a hand in the only goal of the game.

Since the inception of football is the answer.

That's one puppy on his way to the bottom of the Trent RDD.

Irwin was brought in to play at right-back, a position which was held by Mike Phelan. However, the left side of the defence became his home for over a decade. His versatility was crucial to United, with the Irishman man at home no matter where he was asked to play.

There was literally a controversy earlier this year when pep said that laporte was the best left sided centre back in the world and everyone asked about VVD. Because everyone took it to mean a centre back who plays on the left side, since that is what left sided means

Awkward.

In term inside right or left, outside right or left has been used since the 19th century

Now seeing as I had to explain what technical dribbling meant to you earlier I would that you'd take my word for but if not me then the rest of the world. Any of them.

You claimed earlier than the majority of people think right sided means right footed. The example I just gave is literally proof to the contrary, since it was a person saying left sided and everyone took it to mean a player on the left side.

Why am I wasting my time with this, it was so obvious you were trying to bait it when you brought it up in the first place

He's right footed but, as has been detailed on here previously, he can play across the forward line.

I think you must be confusing 'right footed' and 'right sided'. For example an inside right wouldn't necessarily have to be right footed.

I've long said I reckon Sancho will end up at Utd and still think he will. Be a great signing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not a bad project going on under OGS at Utd atm, but im not convinced it'd be the right career move for him. Obviously the wages will help if he gets Sanchez wages but he left City for footballing reasons so im not so sure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The chance to play for the biggest club in England and line up with Rashford and Greenwood, who are likely to be featuring for England for the next decade or so. I think it sounds like a great move. And he will fit perfectly on the right side for us.
