Greece winning it all at Euro 2004 has to be there.
80-1 underdogs
Beat defending Champs Henry, Zidane & Vieira in QF
Beat home favourites Ronaldo, Figo & Deco in the Final
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a good shout - Greece should definitely be in there. Before Leicester it was the biggest footballing shock of my lifetime. As well as France and Portugal (twice), like you say, they also beat the Czechs, arguably the most impressive team up to that point. They were one of the rank outsiders and they didn't just win the tournament: they won it the hard way.
Bournemouth might make a top 10 of English achievements, but not a top 10 of all achievements surely.

Bournemouth.
A "small town" club that made a meteoric run up 4 football divisions in 5 years, right up to the Premier League.
Even more impressive is the fact that they've managed to hang on and not drop back down again like a number of other "smaller clubs" have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Na, they’ve only really managed through getting perm money. The original achievement getting there was good, but since then they get what 100m a year? Tin pot millionaires. Without the perm they’d be nothing.
Broz, do you hate the PL?
I think Mourinho will think leading Utd to second place behind City should top the list.
It was a great achievement considering United are 5th now with Ole and their fans are extremely happy.

I get what you're saying. But you could also say the same about almost 75% of Premier League clubs who still owe the lion's share of their annual revenue to collective bargaining deals.
And in any case, does the £100m advantage really count if every club in the league gets it?
It must be great when your team gains promotion each season but when they plummet 3 years in a row it must be hard to bear. Bristol City, Wolves, Luton have all done that. As a fan you expect your team to get back up next season but when they go into freefall your loyalty must be sorely tested.
Iraq winning the Asian cup in 2007
Your club has to be poorly run to go into free fall though

To be fair to Liverpool I had a really good night when they won that, a scouser was crying when they won, was so happy that he put his credit card behind the bar and was free drinks for the rest of his night. It was a hell of a comeback, went from laughing at them to admiration of the comeback to almost wanting them to win.
Almost.
dont really think anything Bayern do in bundesliga is impressive considering circumstances there lol. So wouldnt be number 9 or 5

Wasn’t the cheapest of bars either. And there was between 70-100 people all taking advantage multiple tunes..
Huddersfield being promoted to the PL and staying there for 2 seasons with barely a penny spent the year they got promoted.
