I'd like to see Gilmore given a starting role for the rest of the season but I think FL will go back to Kovacic, Kante and Jorginho (well 2 of them).

Wouldn't disagree with that but it seems harsh on Kovacic, and I was critical of him last season and didn't want to see him signed on a permanent basis!

I deliberately left them out BK, as they'd normally be competing for positions higher up the pitch, although Mount can play CM as well.
I think in a mid three they can both be almost equally considered as the rest, especially Mount (if we’re talking 4-3-3 he’s most suited to that mid three, while Ziyech from what I’ve read and seen - can be equally impactful from the wing or CM).
When considering them for advanced positions even then it gets quite clogged up - with CHO, Pulisic, Willian and Pedro. Lots of versatility in the squad
An embarrassment of riches seems like,and I'm sure Frank is chuffed to bits . Our future looks very promising,the problem might be trying to keep them all happy !
Jorgi is suspended for Villa & Bayern second leg, so there is one headache removed from the equation.
Uncertainty surrounding Kante...just returned to full (contact) training, played a part yesterday in 7-1 win against QPR.
Bill most likely to start.
Loftus will probably get his first start in the FA Cup match against Leicester, eased in.
With the 5 subs rules enforced, should see the likes of Tino, Maatsen, Borja (instead of Bats who will be frozen out) get more opportunities over next few weeks.
Debuts for Bate and Livramento maybe.

TLLL’s team looks right. RLC appears ready to make an impact off the bench now. Kante probably needs a bit more time to get match-ready without risking further injury.
Who knows what the defence will be.

Mount and Kovacic have been excellent, but that’s just the team I would pick right now. I believe Jorginho is suspended for this one game - is that right? Either way, I’m interested to see what Frank will do. These are great problems to have.

They're all way off match fitness, they haven't played a competitive game for 3 months!
Good to see Cmf again
Not as much of a headache from my prospective for Villa, but may turn into one down the road. Has to be a three man mid of Gilmour-Kovacic-Mount. The only debatable one would've been Gilmour only because the break stopped his momentum, but Jorginho's suspension gives him to chance to start it up again.
I wouldn't want to be Lampard once Ziyech, Werner & possibly Havertz come into this team. That's a talent pool & a half.
