My favourite was the PS1, simply bcos of the memories I have of me and my siblings playing crash bandicoot, tomb raider, tekken, Rayman etc.
PS3 probably the best though, as i feel it had a sweet spot in terms of gaming. Good graphics, online capabilities, improved gameplay, interesting stories. But towards the end of its reign, game developers started running out of ideas for stories, online modes meant offline mode got less attention, DLC's became pretty much mandatory. PS4 essentially continued all this.
SNES was last console I bought. Absolutely brilliant. Mario Kart was a stunning game

N64, Zelda best game ever, iss64, goldeneye etc...
PS3. It might have been one of the more recent consoles, but in the early days of console gaming I played on the Amiga, and then PC,
PS3 was my first console, although my kids did have a PS2. Mind you I had a good time Motorstorm, Warhawk, Little Big Planet were some games I played the hell out of.

PS3, I guess it’s whichever console you had growing up as a teenager for most people. But the PS3 has a lot of good memories for me. Never got the PS4 but looking forward to PS5 time to get back on the wagon

Its a tie between Sega Dream Cast and Nintendo 64
Might go with the Dreamcast is pushed to make a choice.
If you guys miss any of these consoles down load retro arch off the app store , upload to a fire stick and connect a Bluetooth controller , that's what I did , have a genises SNES , NES , GBA all running fine on it , and it's free.
We bought an N64 at the start of lockdown and MarioKart is still brilliant

GameCube was such an underated console , Pikmin was an amazing game as was Wave race.
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3
Gran Turismo 3 & 4
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 & 4
Grand Theft Auto Vice City & San Andreas
Even if it had nothing else, the PS2 would win from those games alone.
Grand Theft Auto Vice City & San Andreas

I had that San Andreas. Know how much I managed to complete? About 1%
Try a mission, something would go wrong, then I’d end up in a 25 min rampage Shooting cops, civilians, smashing everything. . Try again same..And again
In the end just went straight to rampage every time I played.. Get 5 Cop stars and nick a tank escape before that gets totaled nick a plane, etc.. literally did nothing but be an utter caaant in that game

I completed the game, but probably 90% of my time was dicking around in the Hydra jet, fighting helicopters and other jets. There was actually AI-programmed dogfighting in the game. There was an obscene amount of depth to that game. GTA IV remains one of the biggest disappointments I've ever played. Going from San Andreas to that was a colossal step backwards.
The focus on making games deep rather than pretty graphics is what makes the PS2 my favourite console. Crazy details in MGS2, like shooting a fire extinguisher would make powder come out, which could then make Raiden sneeze and attract guards. Or the diazepam trick with E.E., or the ice cubes, or the pots and pans all producing a different note when shot.

Loool wtf. If I was a prosecution lawyer i’d use this to get you sent down for any violent crime charges, it would convince everyone you’re a psychopath
PS2 followed closely by PS4. Could easily be vice versa but for now PS2 edges it as it brought games into the modern era with twin camera controls and way less of the clunky mechanics that a lot of PS1 could be burdened by. Franchises that others have mentioned took on a whole new lease of life as well as brand new series having a first outing before continuing on the PS3 and PS4. in built DVD player also a huge bonus.
PS4 as an overall package though has been fantastic and has loads of life left in it. Everything you want in one place.
Nintendo ds.
Tje light version is similarly put the best hand held console ever to exist.
Was backward comparable with gba games meaning you got two in one and as a result had an amazing array of games to play.
