LIW.. yeah my Dad has been watching the Auzzie rugby and said the same.
and agree, the re-start is much needed, I hope a lot of other sports follow suit, missing the cricket and Rugby league.
Not sure how this could work in boxing though, as mad as that sounds because in theroy you could have two guys in the ring as normal.. but there's a certain atmosphere and its all about money. that said, I'm sure we were all scepticle about the football, and that seems ok.
The first game, the lack of crowd was more noticeable because it was such a poor quality game. A crowd would have made it more exciting and hidden how poor the football was. The sort of game that needed fans to lift it, especially with that mishap on the goal that wasn't.
The second game, City were so good that it didn't matter that there was no crowd. And to be honest, the atmosphere at the Etihad is shocking so it didn't really seem much different.
It's obviously not as good without crowds but there is no logical reason for the games not to resume at this point. Glad it's back.

I'm waiting to see what happens with the fake crowd when we get a goal kick...
The worst thing for me about the games shown on Wednesday is that all the player names on the back of the shirts have been replaced with "Black Lives Matter".
Why couldn't they just have put it underneath the player names? It really bugged me as a neutral not knowing which player was which during the game.
Took away some of the enjoyment from watching live footy again, though 'enjoyment' wasn't really on offer with the dire first game. Leeds even slightly on form would wipe the floor with either of Villa or Sheff U based on their performances.
