Thank you for allowing us to join in. Good luck for the rest of the season

Fair result and a good point for us without Watson and Sow; they could have made the difference.

Thought Johnson did OK, but bench not strong enough; although I would have gone for Mighten ahead of da Costa and Diakhaby

10 weeks break made very little difference, it was almost like we had never stopped. Defend well for majority of the match, ‘nick’ a lead, pretty much try and sit back, concede a very late, truly preventable goal, if a defender doesn’t jump, ok Figs was pretty shattered, he isn’t going to put players like Wickham off, surely Worrall should have sensed the danger and switched, without Rhodes and Fletcher Wickham was their principle threat, but like Millwall and Reading before we switch off. The performance was ok, but hardly play off standard. A draw was probably fair, but these games are the ones you need to win if you have serious play off ambition. Grabban continues to be too easily isolated.

Good summary dave

Although I think we might just scrape a Playoff place, I just think we don’t have the mentality or guile to succeed in them

It’s a real shame because I think we’re about 80% there to being promotion side, but just in typical Forest fashion, its that final 10-20% that will kill us once again

There are also a few teams, Swansea, Direby and Blackburn who will really fancy their chances, the question now for me is will our home form improve with no pressure from the crowd, if it doesn’t I can see us falling out of the play offs, which in a way would be a shame, but however it turns out, at least we now seem to be heading in the right direction, hopefully with a bit of stability.

I’m resigned to the idea that we will fail this season whether that be in the Playoffs or by not making the Playoffs - a lot then will depend on who goes at the end of the season and who we can bring in

I think it’s absolutely important we keep:

Samba
Cash
Worrall
Sow
Yates
Lolley
Grabben

And build a team around that Group of players 👍🏼

It depends which division we are in REV. If we are in the Championship of the twenty on duty yesterday I would want to keep the eleven who started plus Carvalho, Smith, Bostock, Dawson, and Mighten; plus Sow and Watson.

If we are in the Premier League I think only Samba, Cash, Figs, Worrall, Watson, Sow, Lolley and Grabban could do a job.

Red, the problem I see is that us we’re still in this Division, Cash, Lolley and probably Worrall will probably leave

I think that Lolley and Worrall will stay, we may lose Cash but only for a big fee. He's just signed a 4 year contract.

I think we have a basis of a great squad - if we can keep this team more or less together, with perhaps the addition of a couple of players (a proven striker to go alongside Grabben), then I feel we could really go for an automatic place next season 👍🏼

I think they would all give it another year at least. Cash and Worrall have come through the ranks and need be in no rush. There are many examples of those who have gone to greener pastures only to find them arid and parched (Burke) and those like Osborn and Lansbury who find themselves on the bench week in and week out. Joe Lolley might fancy a move to Villa if they try again, but they will probably be back in the Championship next season (and without Grealish and McGinn)

Having said that we will always have to sell our best players at some stage. The key is to sell at the top of the market and then spend the money wisely.
