Ole needs to grow a pair and find a way to start both these guys in a midfield 3. He's constantly harping on about playing attacking, attractive football and taking risks yet he's too scared to set up the team without at least two defensive mids.

Pogba is a class footballer, just needs to play regularly.

as a utd fan, I would add that the likes of rashford and martial usually play themselves into top form so they were always going to struggle in the first game post a long layoff

How is Greenwood as a lone striker? I know he's still a little weak physically but would it be a terrible idea to give him a run of games through the middle and have Rash/Martial either side of him?
Something about Martial in the striker position doesn't work for me. He's too one dimensional for me. He's best when running at defenders. Doesn't get in positions to score tap ins / headers and misses too many chances

The worry is that he’ll be overplayed. I think Ole’s handled him really well. It’s just annoying we’ve had to rely on James so much on that side.

he's looked a lot better on the right than up top this season, though if he's added 3kg of muscle during lockdown that should help.
only problem then is that martial's never convinced on the right (either).

Martial was starting to get into the game once Pogba came on. I thought he was hard done by coming off instead of Rashford. He should have got his shot away from that Bruno pass, came very close to scoring but for a good Lloris save and I think he also played the pass for a Bruno shot that wizzed just past the post.
