I dunno, because their turnover outside the prem will be pretty average for the championship. I think their wage bill is quite a high ratio to turnover as well, so the team is going to be gutted.

That said, the championship is such an unpredictable league so they could still manage the damage and go on a run to get promoted.

I think the current bottom 3 will go down, boring as that may seem. Villa may overhaul West Ham, but they're so poor defensively and also just lack the overall quality from back to front to stay up imo. Bournemouth and Norwich are both already gone imo.

It will be wholly unfair on whoever goes down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really. It would be at most 25% unfair, as there was only a quarter of the season to play. Three teams have to go down, as is the case every season. And the three who go down won't have gone down through poor fortune, so much as through their own inadequacies

Having said that, I don't think there should be a league champion this year. Scrap that and start from zero again next season 😉

Good question

The bottom three will probably go down for many good reasons but West Ham and Watford may dodge a bullet with the circumstances.

The games are going to be awful and painful through to the end and for those who go down a slow suffering even if over a short period of time.

The whole thing is cringeworthy from the empty stadiums to the kneeling, commentary etc etc

IMO The season should have been scrapped for all and not for the elite only and I still feel it is a real insult to all clubs from the League one down with some still allowed to play.

My personal opinion is Villa probably deserve to go down but I would rather it been on a scrapping than playing slow pace training games to save the tv money

Potter has done a good job at Brighton
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has he? Hasn’t exactly improved them and they were in free fall before lockdown.

They’ve got a worse squad than Norwich, to be fair.

Well then Hughton didn’t deserve the bullet

The style of play was shiiiiiit. But their results for a long time were really bad as well.

Takes a while to implement a more progressive style, keeping results steady whilst doing that is impressive

Can’t stand West Ham fans, especially after they threw bricks to our bus the last Boleyn match.

Agree he met his remit and kept them up
What did they expect the champions league?

They wanted to change the style of football.

Think - Norwich, Villa and Bournemouth

Want - Watford, Brighton and Bournemouth

Never said who I'd like to go down. West Ham, Bournemouth and probably Brighton

Why would anyone want Bournemouth to go down?

One of the best away days
Play good football

The only southern club I have a soft spot for is West Ham so I hope they avoid the drop. Shame that Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs aren't down there in the relegation zone.A short sharp shock in the Chamoionship might do them some good. It worked for Man Utd !

They've been turgid this season. And they've made a habit of overspending on awful Liverpool players. Yes, I am that bitter

That’s a fair point actually. Giving £35m to Liverpool for Ibe and Solanke. Faaack Bournemouth.

Who do you hope goes down?

Villa
Villa
Villa

I don't particularly want anyone to go down this season. There have been teams in the past Ive been glad to see the back of in the past like Huddersfield and Cardiff, anti football sides.

I think the current botyom three will go down though and I don't like the way Villa have gone about their business really, bought a new team and I dont really like that. Fulham last year too. Massive club though.

I'd go with the current bottom three to go down. Villa and Norwich definitely - Bournemouth might just escape at Watford's expense. Can't see West Ham going down for some reason.

Villa - I'd like them to stay up because they're a proper PL club for me. Always seems a shame when they're not in the top flight.

But at the same time I think we'd be in with a chance of getting Grealish if Villa did go down, and he's someone who I could see being a very good player for us.

West Ham
Bournemouth
Norwich

Norwich are as good as gone already. Bournemouth‘s fixtures are a disaster; I reckon they’ll pick up one or two points from their next six, and that’ll relegate them.

The last one is trickier, but I reckon Villa might scrap their way out of trouble courtesy of a West Ham collapse. The Hammers have won two games at home in all comps since September, and have to go away to Spurs, us, a scrapping Norwich and a Newcastle side that’s lost two of its last 14 games, including nine at home. I just can’t see where the Hammers’ point come from.

Might come down to the last day: West Ham play Villa.
