I thought the shape looked wrong, looked outnumbered esp in mf. Your mf especially kante was awful in possession. But after the first 20 mins chances started coming on the counter n set pieces, even strung some nice passages of play together, first one was mounts one two with giroud was it?

I think it was a mixture of both n Chelsea are going in the right direction for sure and the signings coming in look exciting should help you push on.

Ps Frank talked so well at the end of the game, speaks a lot of sense, really liked him as a pundit n hes not changed.

Both. Make no mistake, for all the possession, City created very little. They were unlucky when they hit the post. But Chelsea should have scored more too. Apart from 20 second half minutes, Chelsea were comfortable.

Nothing wrong with riding your luck against City a bit. I thought he set up the cou ter well to transition quickly and starting Giroud but then having Abraham on against tired legs worked really well.

Was a good game.

From what I saw of Chelsea they will challenge next season I like frank he’s decent bloke and the signings he made it looks good for Chelsea 👍

It was a Mourinho masterclass 😂

Packed the midfield with runners, sat deep and countered. At the end of the day we were better defensively, created more chances and had the better chances in front of goal.

I didn't see the game but looking at that selection & MOTD highlights, it looked to me as if Kante was playing DM?

How did that go? I'm very curious to know.

Btw we are at least 2 or 3 seasons away from challenging for the title.

Interesting how the water breaks seem to change things , could only see a City win second half until the break, they were really cranking up the pressure, but following Chelsea came straight back into it, seen this in a few other games too with different teams and situations

I think we are two seasons away from a serious title challenge, but thanks.

Yeah that's the problem, passing is so underappreciated in the DM role these days.

Was he still hunting for the ball or was he playing like a conduit? Cos the latter I don't see the point, square peg in a round hole.

I like to think of it as 'Skill and Knowledge of the game', Biggish!
