Frank's flexibility, adaptability, commitment to a level playing field creating a healthy competitive environment, capacity to manage and be empathetic towards players, on a player & human-level is what sets him apart from previous managers and will stand him in good stead going forward.
Understands the mental and emotional aspects very well.
Admirable intrinsic values.
Players are already at a point where they would run through bricks walls for him, due to those very reasons.
Typifies what a marvellous man (manager) he is, still in the early stages of managerial career at the top-level
The impact of Jody Morris as his right hand man should never be underestimated, helped Frank immensely with those qualities mentioned above.
He’s done a great job so far, I was sceptical but he’s been very proactive in pushing youngsters forward, mount abraham, been excellent..I think the one I saw him bring in that I think should be given a prolonged run, is gilmour. Won motm in ten nearly every one of his limited starts, and as Roy Keane said, you say a guy cone in like that who’s intelligence is way beyond his years, then you go with it (paraphrased).
So far he has done exactly what many would have wanted to see from him with his use of the squad and where we’re finishing in the league. He has also managed to bring us out of a run of bad form - I find this type of return of form an encouraging sign especially for a manager in his first season at a club. Something about him meant that the players didn’t lose all focus and ‘stop playing’.
Next season will be a new challenge, with star signings he will have to fit in, greater expectations on the league and in Europe, and keeping some of our players happy as we start to look a little overloaded in our squad
Season not over yet. I still think we are a vet unpredictable team in terms of results and our next game at West Ham could prove that.
But yes, overall I am very happy.
Think the best thing he’s done this year is navigate through so many squad injuries and at times using a bare thin squad with rushed youth players making an appearance. It’s brought a breath of fresh air back to the club and after losing hazard and the transfer ban he’s done very well.

Positive pragmatic football
--------------------------------------------------
That's a key point right there - positive & pragmatic. Getting that balance right with us is so difficult, something we historically have failed to achieve since Mourinho's imprint in the noughties. It's either been too positive/purist = fail, or too pragmatic = successful but came at a cost. Somehow Di Matteo managed to do both within one reign (technically two) with the same results.
Still early, goes without saying, but Lampard's managed to effectively marry the two together, and the only three other managers in the PL's top 6 in recent times who've done that are Pochettino, Guardiola & Klopp, and the latter had to shift from one to the other. That's a very good omen for the future
And that's only one of the four things you mentioned
It's kind of poetic in a way that Lampard's first (and only) real managerial adversary was Bielsa, the godfather of what could be defined as 'positive-pragmatic' football.

Ever since his Bilbao team made Fergie's United look like they didn't belong on the same pitch I've been fascinated by Bielsa. Unique thinker doesn't quite cover it
Having him in the PL has been long overdue & would be nothing but a delight.
Frankie has grown into the job nicely...we have a plethora of young talent emerging, & have just bought some class lately to add to the pot.
The defence is still a problem, as is defending set peice plays it seems...
I'd love JT to leave Villa & come be our defensive coach
As goes Kante, I like him in DM...but he plays anywhere for me, not a massive Jorge fan & wouldn't be bothered if he left.
We have to be in the CL for next year now - minimum target for Frank
He's done a good job so far under the circumstances of the season. Not only because of Chelsea's performance during the first third of the season with some excellent results defying many expectations, but also the fact that he has managed to find that consistency in the league again prior to and after the restart after some indifferent form during the Christmas period.
I think everyone at Chelsea would be disappointed if they were to finish 5th now however, but if he gets into the CL this season then he has done an incredible job.
I don't think we have to be in the CL next season, but it will be disappointing not to be.

Us & Wolves

No chance
Triple subs! Last time that happened was yonks ago.
I remember a certain Portuguese manager being a master at them in his heyday.
Frank's adept in-game management coming to the fore again
Other examples that spring to mind when his excellent (proactive) in-game management changed the games are....
- The 4-4 against Ajax, introduction of James & Hudson-Odoi from the bench.
- Switch from 343 to 433 very early on against Arsenal away, gained dominance and got us the win.
Few others that I've missed I'm sure, but they spring to mind

Actually that's another great example of a setup I saw before the match and thought "I don't think this'll work Frank. Arteta's not Mourinho, he'll get them pressing our CB's & they'll buckle under the pressure". But unlike Southampton the change was made earlier and it did save the game.
As I said, a pattern of learning
