Chance for them to discuss compensation then.

It’s not the SFA but an independent tribunal set up by them. Let’s guess who’ll be on it.

Tom Farmer
Lord Reid

Compensation will be the final factor but now their claims of £10 million between them will be laughed on day 1.

Suspect £1.5 million for Hearts and £500,000 for Thistle or thereabouts.

It was always about compensation so I guess their days in court could be worth it.

What a waste of fooking time, I'm sure it was put a bit politer than this but its looks like the judge has all but said "stop wasting my fooking time with fitba schite and fook off and follow your rule book khuntos"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think that's the case. He's set guidelines for who should run the panel, and also said that if arbitration doesn't work then they can come back to court.

We'll see what happens with the arbitration. I don't think it's impossible that it could go back to court, especially since the petition wasn't dismissed today.

Importantly i believe he has also said the SPFL are to provide all paperwork and documentation relation to the case. Maybe something approaching a full investigation of the voting farce will happen as a result

I know folk (rangers fans, mainly) are really relying on something showing up, but as much as it doesn't suit, I think the Deloitte investigation showed what happened. The issue there has always been that did the vote count when it was cast not when it was found, and what impact it has on the time it was sent which we know was before the SPFL made their initial announcement.

I don't think it's impossible, but it doesn't help anyone to let it go back to court.

Budge might have a problem if she wins with having let their manager go, despite the fact it seems that would only be the case if they were relegated.

Whilst that may (or may not) be true.

I think it's unfair in this instance.

The rush to declare the league early, in hindsight has been the cause of all of this.

Did anyone really benefit.

Looking at games restarting around the world - we could certainly have done the same.

Celtic could have won 9 on the park.

European places decided on the park.

Relegation decided on the park.

Reduce the financial penalties from the TV contracts.

A bit of patience and some financial support (which was dished out anyway) and all of this could have been avoided.

It's almost like we could see this coming

Think it’s mainly Hearts and PT.... couldn’t care myself, although would be nice if it shook up the SPFL. The vote handling was a farce doesn’t need an investigation for that to be found out.

Pretty sure it’s been confirmed that SPFL did actually receive Dundee’s vote? So been shown that they were talking pash if so, and fact they haven’t recognised it wasn’t handled well shows them up as a bunch of jokers.

Hearts and PT hopefully get their compensation and football can start. Can’t say I’ve found it enjoyable watching any of the football that’s been on recently but if it’s our own game then will at least be good to have it going again

Clubs only began contact training on 30th June, unsure how it’s possible to consider the season being finished?

Unless we done 2 games a week in August and started next season middle of September.

Never been denied that they received it?! The debate was over the quarantining of the email, with some not understanding what that meant.

Just pay them compensation and move on. Best for all me thinks 👍

I’ve not shown enough interest then. I’d want any emails from Dundee to be quarantined myself too

Hearts don’t bother me, so I won’t call them vile.

The rest though is just opinion on whether or not we could have continued. Celtic being 13 points ahead, playing well and Rangers in free fall in the league meant that we all wanted the season finished on the park. Financially, I don’t think teams could have continued even after the final tranche of money was paid.

The consideration of playing the games was a reasonable option - even in the peak of the crisis.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but it's pretty clear that it was well within the art of the possible.

Look at all the football we are seeing just now - not the same granted but still many, many times better than none at all and this continued farce.

I always try to see the best in people - those who run our game just now are wildly incompetent.

An opinion based on witnessing how other leagues are managing to finish their seasons on the park.

Celtic were always winning the league, thanks to the complete mishandling of the running of the game, it was not completed on the park.

You guys could have been watching the winning game on the TV with your immediate family - instead of some press conference.

Completely avoidable.

At the peak of this, folk were debating if-not when-we could even restart football for next season never mind finish this one.

I think they left it long enough, and the final decision was based on finances and not being able to play the season out. Without knowing the finances of every club (I only know rangers finances ), then the senior clubs decided they couldn’t finish the season. That vote was reported as being unanimous and no one challenged that announcement. That’s not the fault of the SPFL, that was the decision of the clubs.
