Wasn’t Phil Jones the last time someone said this 🤣

Yeah I'm a bit envious. You've got a real player on your hands

Let's wait and see next season whether he can perform against the better sides. He looks stronger.

what a player

I said a couple of weeks ago we should give him maximum game time as rwf till the season ends and we might have second thoughts on how desperately we need a rwf

He’s playing great but let’s not get carried away like he’s our solution to the RW.

He will, absolutely, 100%, have periods of poor performances, spanning weeks, where he barely contributes, such is life as a young player playing out of position.

I know most are saying in jest that we can rethink the Sancho thing, but that would be bonkers. Greenwood has his place here, but he’s not ready yet for us to call that position sorted.

I think we still need Sancho.

But having Greenwood being able to play there benefits us.

Strength in depth if Sancho comes.

Greenwood could turn into R9 overnight and we'd still need a right winger.

Can’t remember seeing an 18 year old so deadly.

He’s better than Ronaldo at that age and more lethal than Rooney.

Not saying he’ll be as good as either but the potential is there.

So calm and mature of a finsher for his age.

I imagine he hasn't played a lot of full games either despite his impressive stats.

Think he’s played 40 odd times but the majority have been from the bench.

I agree we stilll need sancho but having greenwood certainly makes us look less "desperate". I always thinking appearing desperate during a negotiation always works against you.

Utd have looked desperate in transfer market since SAF left.

How many goals is he on now 16-17?

Crazy

I agree. Poor planning/strategies from the board at times.

No doubt that it will be another long drawn out saga with Sancho. I can see Sancho enjoying playing within the Manchester United's enviroment of players. It's a perfect fit.

people keep talking about the importance of CL - it is important, but much less than most people claim - but you'd think the player would be looking at this united team, with our current front 5, and thinking "yeah, i wouldn't mind being a part of that".

whereas back when we were losing to newcastle, even fellaini might have turned his nose up at rejoining that lot.

so i do hope we get top 4, but even if we don't, thsese sorts of performances help to attract top players.

15.... 55 between the front 3

On the evidence so far you would expect Bruno in double figures over the course of a full season

If we can get Sancho... And theres enough games for Rashford/Martial/Greenwood and him to rotate and be kept happy... You're talking, potentially anyway, a hell of a goal tally

I agree.

CL is a bonus for any potential incoming player. Some players look at the playing styles and vision of said club too. Aside from wages of course.

we definitely need sancho, martial and rashford always have an injury nduring a season

with sancho, martial, rashford, greenwood and ighalo, upfront we'll look shiiit hot! need to sort out the defensive mistakes, DDG needs dropping

Greenwood’s in very good company here. Owen was ridiculous as a teenager.

great stuff...let's hope his career doesn't follow the 2 pool players, who hit very high heights, but were pretty much finished as top players by the time they were 25/26.

I think we’ll be careful not to overplay him like those guys were.

Also Greenwood isn’t a hard running player, so I don’t think he’ll be putting his body under a lot of stress from a young age.
