ideally could have had Cech in one team and VDS in another instead of picking DDG but couldnt use Cech in the 10s team as he tailed off and was half the player at Arsenal.
How about squads of each decade?
25 players.
I could get past my own team bias that way!
Ive just checked Bales numbers and I don't know why but I thought they were a lot better for some reason.

Didn't he win PFA player twice? That said, not enough longevity for me

Yeah and YPOTY and POTY at the same time. Thought his numbers were better anyway so scratch that.
Yep, Bale is a good shout.
I would try and squeeze Claude Makélélé into that team from the 2000’s. He’d be in as a DM but I’m not sure about the remainder of the line-up.
De Gea
Ivanovic
Kompany

These debates are always tricky and longevity vs short term impact is probably the biggest disagreement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s one question with combined XIs.
Another is: who would they play against?

Kos was the man for a few years. Athletic, tough, goal threat, leader.
Ozil had crazy numbers at times for assists & chances created. World Cup-winner.
Neither of them was particularly clutch though.
Always think Kyle Walker constantly gets overlooked in anyone’s team of the decade for the 10s.
He started the decade out and one of the best RBs in the PL and finishes it off as such. He has won everything domestically, PFA team of the year three times, PFA YPOTY too.
Yes, of course - this argument is based more on his consistency, longevity and trophies he has won as a team than maybe his individual quality (not that I don’t rate him, but he’s a ‘good’ RB and not a ‘great’ one). However exactly the same principle is essentially used for Gary Neville being seen by most as the best RB in PL history.

De Bruyne really played for long enough to be in over Toure?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They both have had similar years played this decade, right?
My team of 10s (taking into account..hopefully..a balanced mix of longevity and peak quality)
DDG
Walker Kompany VVD Azpilicueta
Silva Kante KDB

He has about 90 appearances on him
Ah wow. I didn’t at all realise Toure was there for so long. Just seen too he only left two years ago in 2018 (feels a lot longer than that lol).
I guess 8 years and three titles this decade with City is pretty significant.
I would say though and I am a massive fan of Yaya but his most famous season the 13/14 one was like his highlight. It’s really the only season I remember him performing at player of the season contender level. What a season it was but for KDB it seems he’s performing at that level each season.
