This is deep. He will be moved on.

He's clearly talented, if he's sold he'll fetch a decent sum of money. Spend it well and he won't be missed

Will be surprised if we do get rid. A lot of potential and the kind of player that could be a real star elsewhere

Gets into our terrible MF but for a club of our standing in the game, should be nowhere close to the first team

He will stay imo

Aretea disciplining him

Hopefully it's just a wake up call from the club for Guendouzi.

Guendouzi encountered similar problems at Lorient, where a dressing-room argument saw him excluded from the first team for more than three months. Arsenal were aware of his fiery character when they signed him from the French club, but were optimistic that careful management could curb his indiscipline.

Since taking charge of the club in December, Arteta has been absolutely clear on the “non-negotiables" he expects from his players — and quick to clamp down on those who deem themselves exempt.

Can't really say fairer than any of this. Its up to guendouzi. You can tell he's immature from the way he plays, no surprises he loved Uncle Emery.

Why is it stupid to get rid of him?

First of all, aside from being a passion merchant, and having an OK passing range, what has he provided us with that’s makes it paramount to keep him? He is replaceable.

Secondly, if it’s true that he’s regularly displaying attitude that is disrespectful and isn’t mindful of Arteta’s authority, what are we supposed to do? Let him do what he wants like Emery did? That worked out really well didn’t it?

If Guendouzi isn’t showing the traits Arteta wants, and isn’t willing to improve himself, then he needs to go.

If he has a bad attitude then get rid.

The club has needed better personalities as much as it has needed better talents, stretching way back into Wenger's reign.

Set high standards and buy players who are willing to work hard to develop and meet those standards, even if they're not there yet.

Absolutely time to get rid, seems like he's been given every chance to turn things around. Right when Arteta is trying to instill a different mentality in the club and among the players we can't have players thinking they are above the rules. Him and the likes of Ozil have been left out for a reason.

Get a decent fee for him and move on.

David Luiz is constantly farking things up. pretty much the worst display you could ever see from a defender against City.... Gets a new contract

Gwen acts a bit of a caant and he gets kicked out the door...

The issue with guendouzi is his attitude though, not his performances.

But Luiz’s attitude isn’t in question, Guendouzi’ s is. And although I didn’t agree with extending Luiz’s contract, let’s not revise history - he’s put in some good performances for us. Prior to his disasterclass at City, a lot of the fan base were open to him staying.

Average player anyway, what exactly is the upside with Gouendouzi

Luiz has talent. And has been good under Arteta besides that city appearance. And that contract Luiz got was on reduced terms.

If guendouzi is acting a fool, then he should be disciplined.

thats what im getting at. he still puts in good games despite being a pr!ck. Luiz is a nice guy, but utterly faks us over in games every other week.

id rather keep the players with talent
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest, I think this is very questionable. If you look at a lot of top midfielders around Guendouzi’s age, they have a more varied skillset that he does. And he’s only 21, so he’s young, but what standout qualities does he have as a player that makes him irreplaceable?

Also Pete - from WhoScored:

“ Matteo Guendouzi: Only Granit Xhaka (61) has been dribbled past more times than Guendouzi (59) of all Arsenal players since the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season”

Players with bad attitude are toxic in the dressing room. A football club is no different to any other workplace.

Not to mention that we are a Europa League team aiming to get back into a top 4 position. We are not very good. The only way we get back to the top (short of throwing lots of non-existent cash at the problem) is to invest in a coherent style of play and players who can buy into it.

Anyone who is happy to lord their salary over a bunch of relegation battlers like Brighton, does not have the right mentality to help propel Arsenal forwards.

Tough one. The kid is, in my opinion at least, a fantastic prospect. Arsenal, for all the problems, have, again my opinion, the best three youth prospects in the league in Saka, Martinelli and Gouendouzi.

He is 21 years old and I think a lot of his faults can be attributed to playing in such a bad midfield! In any other top he would be played alongside decent players. He is not faultless but he’s been asked to do a lot for his age and experience.

But humility is humility and you either apologise to the boss or you go, we are arsenal not Chelsea! A lot of clubs will be after him but no one wants to work with an a hole. You get a rep.

I hope it gets resolved and he stays but Arteta equally cannot crumble at his first test, player will have to go.

We can't allow a troublemaker in the dressing room.

If he can't keep his ego behind the teams interest he has to be moved on. Simple as that.

xhaka threw the armband and kit away and told the crowd to fk off. he is still a vice captain

The issue with Gwendo goes far deeper, Pete.

Xhaka learnt from the issue. Gwendo obviously not.
