Interesting. Well in that case, there should be no problem in persuading him to stay if and when we succeed this season. Happy days!

Bielsa and Leeds are a very good match in so many ways - the club and its fans have certainly been a bit el loco in the past!

I think it may be 96 games (his wiki page says 95 but it was last updated before last night's game) ... if true, it means the last game of this season, and promotion party, will be his 100th game for us!👍😁

Even better!

It wouldn’t shock me, if we got promoted, he’d walk away and say job done.

Not saying that will happen, just wouldn’t shock me.

Hopefully not

very interesting the Bielsa program last night. really good to hear the likes of Pep, and Poch priase him so much.

will do a good job in the premier league, one wonders what he could do with a boat load of money to spend though !

I've had the same thoughts, but hopefully totally wrong. best manager we've had since Revie, bar none

Hope you get promoted, good luck with the rest of the season.

Leeds beating United at old trafford next season would be great to see.

Reckon he's still hungry. Promotion to the PL won't be enough for him - or for us. "Job done"? Reclaiming our place at the top table will take more than one season.

But it also depends very much on whether Radrizzani sells up and who he sells up to, and whether Bielsa will want to work for the new owners in the way they might want him to. Lots of ifs.

Surely he’ll want to give premier league a go for a season at least... a lot we’ll depend on what happens with ownership and transfer market over the summer

I am not comparing him to Revie as a manager but he is easier to love. There is much to admire as a person.

Interesting observation there Cal, wouldn't disagree....Bielsa is an outstanding coach and motivator no doubt, can he leave a legacy like Revie did? I find Bielsa and Revie have similarities...obsessive, superstitious, a touch eccentric and focused on their particular football philosophy.

If we go up I csnt see him not starting the season.

I'm not sure he would see it out, but I think he starts as manager

Did anyone see Pablo yesterday mid way through the first half? Was stood up in the stand complaining momentarily at a refereeing decision. Looked just like a manager/head coach. Could be a perfect under study to MB one day

Have to feel for whoever takes over when he decides he's done all he can!..

Anyone coming in and changing his good work will have hell thrown at them if it goes bad, Bielsa will be one hell of an act to follow!..

But we'll have to wait for him to decide, hopefully he has another season or 3 planned!..

And for those of you that might still be against the Clubs Board, he seems perfectly happy to work with them!..

There were ‘rumours’ (BS) that Stevie G is gona be lined up after bielsa depending on progress he makes at Rangers...... Ducks backside and all that.

Something about our club is a bit enigmatic and has an element of quality and chaos and Bielsa seems similar.

Agree with the above comment...Would not be surprised if he walked away... You never know what he is thinking

More I see us the more I see Pochetino in a similar style to Bielsa which may be no surprise with their link

i now firmly believe he has found his home, he is LEEDS, he will stay for years yet, he wants to show the world his way is the right way, which has been adopted by many top flight teams. if he is back properly he will lead us to glory

Love Bielsa. He's frustrated me at times this season.
But, he is our football messiah. Genius. Lovable.
The photos of him walking into Thorp Arch crack me
up and make me love him more. The bucket alone.

Glad Orta and club were able to get him. He's going
to get us back up where we belong. Saying all that,
part of me hopes someone like Pocchetino is lined
up as a replacement, once MB says he's done.

Gonna be pilloried for this but Bielsa on many levels is a better manager than the Don. We have no Billy, Jack Charlton, Bobby Collins. Norman Hunter, Paul Reaney or Johnny Giles in our squad that I can see.
What this squad, none of whom are world beaters, has done under Bielsa is just out of this world.

Els, you probably will. Don's Don.

I do think Marcelo sits right alongside Sgt. Wilko.
And as much as I fooking loved the Wilko years,
I wouldn't argue if someone said MB ranks 2nd
already in club's history of managers.

And outside of Pete's mental meltdown,
the O'Leary years weren't half bad either.

Definitely what Bielsa looks for. We are similar in many ways to Bilbao and Marsielle. Historically successful club but not currently, strong identity, passionate fans.

I'd love to see what Bielsa could have achieved at a club with world class players or even whether what he has done at Leeds would actually transfer with better players and the egos that go with it.

Because to see what he's achieved with what were pretty average Championship players when he took over, imagine what he could have done with a squad the quality of Wolves in 2018. Would they have even lost a game?!

I don't think Bielsa is one for trying to put himself in the lights people like to see!..

I think he's one that stands on his own and knows what he can do, but, he also knows the only way to put himself where Revie and Wilko are in the ranks of Leeds United, is by putting trophy's on the table!..

He is loved by the fans of this club as much as some from other clubs he's been, and I think he's happy the way it is!..

He'll want to win things the same as us, but I don't think he'll think himself better then anybody else in the Footballing World, he's not that type of person!..
