Rob - you make a very good point about both doing the business at critical junctures.

And I love Pablo like everyone else

But

Phillips
Dallas
White
Cooper
Harrison

All had better seasons

And maybe

Klich and ayling

-----------------

totally agree.

Pablo absolutly brilliant recently, but lets be honest, he's not been great this season compared

NJS, if you compare the balls from then and now, with the old ball Pablo might not be able to do what he does, but saying that, with today's ball, Strachan could have done more!..

Mind, to get to Pablo's standards Strachan would have had to have a few cigs and beers less!..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The modern ball is harder to control, lighter to the touch, harder to keep on the floor....players need more technique, Hernandez wins in my opinion.
But even in Strachan playing days the ball was lighter than the 50s, 60s and 70s....I often wonder if Big Jack and Norman suffered from heading those old leather balls in older age?

I got pilloried on a Facebook group for saying Pablo has had a mediocre season. Great player on a cult status

you were correct Mikey - reaction might be due to the short memories of some fans, played brilliant from the restart, thought he's been average all season.

maybe age thing?

To tell the truth, its been that long since I've touched a football I don't think I've come into contact with the new ball!..

But the Leather?.....I remember when I was younger getting that thing full in the face, hit the deck faster than Alioski/Ayling on a good day!..

Not sure how long I was down but there were a few people laughing and joking when I finally got up!..
