Also doesn't seem to inspire any effort from the players.
Bit negative seeing as we had transfer ban, bad injuries and still third.
See what he can do next season.
Defence needs sorting
So you have no concerns regarding Lampard?
Would be massively surprised if Frank doesn't come good with his intelligence and the career he had. I am a bit biased though.

Considering the circumstances surrounding the return of football, I’d say just let whatever Lampard throws at the wall be enough to get us top four. I don’t think this period of the season is a good indicator of Lampard’s tactical acumen. It is more about hoping our fittest and most in form players can carry us over the line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough
Win is a win, so no complaints from me, even though my eyes bled dry after watching that dross.
The fixture list post lock-down gives very little time for recovery, Lampard couldn't afford to rest our main players in a must win game today.
Could of been more comfortable. Lamps has certainly made errors as have the players. Tonight we should've coasted but for missed chances by the centre forward. I'm grateful he scored one, the winner but he had enough chances to have made it an easier night. If the defence mess up they are scrutinised and blamed. This guy got man of the match. Shocking. Not the standard we should have and roll on next season when Werner and possibly Jovic are with us.

What Sideshow said. With so many games so quickly performances like that are inevitable, all 20 PL teams have had at least one since the restart.
I saw enough from Lampard to be convinced before the break, but since the restart the remainder of this season is 12-13 rules - whatever it takes to keep fitness up & get the job done
Generally happy with Frank. We've been easy on the eye and scored a fair few, just our defence play has been pretty awful which needs sorting as a priority. That said, I do think that's mostly due to quality of the players available.
Here's to hoping we get top 4 and build on this next season!
Think we've actually surpassed expectations generally. Sure there have been some frustrations and bumps in the road but that to be expected given that Lampard is in only his 2nd season and I actually think we've seen a lot of growth from Frank as a manager seeing him adjust his tactics and formations as the season goes on which I think shows a lot of learning and growth, especially as Sarri refused for most of last season.
We're sitting in 3rd at the moment, and in a FA Cup semi final which is a good 1st season for him.
Hopefully we make top 4 and continue to add to the squad for next season, but agree that defence does need improved upon.
Give him credit...he's had injuries and out of form players to deal with....and we're third still in the FA Cup
It will certainly be a big disappointment, if missed out on top 4 now, that it’s on our hand.
Personally, I feel Lampard has already done enough (considering the circumstances) to prove himself that he should be trusted to continue building a team in his own image.
There are still so many variables on outcome of who finishes 3rd and 4th.
For example the nightmare scenario is still possible that if Leicester and United win their next two ganes and in the meantime we lose at Anfield then bot teams could manufacture a draw last game of the season

Too right. It's very easy to sit back and underestimate what a particularly difficult task this season has been for Lamps. He inherited a squad desperately in need of an update and significant spend on players but instead had to deal with a transfer ban and losing our best player. All this in Lampard's debut season as a PL manager.
It's because of Frank's ability to successfully bring through this group of talented but very inexperienced young players (something that no previous manager in the Roman era has done) that we're in the position we're in.
The contribution of the likes of Tammy and Mount in particular have been crucial this season in getting us into this CL position. That's down to Lampard believing in and guiding these players.
Many other managers wouldn't have given our younger players the full chances that they've been given, even in this season. Can remember Jose saying at the beginning of the season that neither Tammy or Mount should be anywhere near the starting team. Words he later had to eat when Tammy went on a run scoring 10 goals in 10 PL games.
Lampard has made mistakes as well this season but that's all part of the learning curve for a manager in his second season as a manager and debut season in the PL. You learn from your mistakes and I'm certain Lampard will.
I also seriously question whether any other manager would have us any higher in the table that we are now. Klopp or Pep wouldn't I think. Managers need time to create really good sides just like both of those managers did and just like Lamps will.
A really good summer transfer will be a massive help of course and we've started well with Ziyech and Werner but we'll need to spend on some good defenders and a new keeper as well.
Keep on with what you're doing Frank.
With the state of affairs everywhere at this moment in time,I am confident in the job he and the team around him are doing.
Lets all pull together.
i dont think a new keeper is a necessity as i think hell be fine one we sort the defence out, you dont go from being the worlds most expensive keeper to being a chump in one season, although our defence ould prove me wrong there.

Vavarising, Frank is doing a great job.
But getting back to goalkeepers, I have to disagree with you.
We are desperate for a new goalie.
Any defence needs to have confidence in the goalie but does ours?
Also he very very rarely comes out for a cross even in he's own 6 yard box and that puts pressure on defence as they wont win every header,
Even when he does come its more of a weak punch that rarely travels that much.
There are 19 managers in this league that will know all about he's weakness and what will they do every single game, just aim the ball in the air as close to him as possible because sooner or later he wont come or will make a mistake.
We cannot have that, it will cost us game after game

It's the defence as a whole that needs sorting. We need a settled formation with warrior-like personalities, then the confidence gained will be reciprocal.
Apart from that Frank's done ok in very difficult circumstances, but anyone else maddened by the number of excellent crosses pinging in, but never ever anybody attacking them?
