just goes to show how silly mid-season assessments of teams are, we've all seen enough football to be able to give examples of teams that flew out of the blocks before stumbling/imploding, and vice versa. so without watching the whole video, i can simply agree with keane's "let's wait to the end of the season" suggestion.

these things are always a bit silly anyway, especially when we're trying to compare a team that is still playing, with one where all the players are long since retired. even united fans, who watched these players all the time, might struggle to isolate roy keane's 1997 form from his entire career, or remember whether giggs had a blistering 2002 or 2003.

having said all that, team looks broadly correct (!)

Depends on your formation surely?

However much I love Neville and Irwin, I think there’s a valid view that TAA and Robertson are better, especially offensively which is more important in today’s game. I’d also say that Liverpool’s front 3 are just as effective as York and Cole but again that decision is based on the formation you play.

Both teams are great, United’s will go down in history for winning the Treble whereas Klopp’s will be remembered for their first title in 3 decades. Who knows what Liverpool will achieve over the next few years while Klopps still there.

Irwin was better than Robertson. Such an underrated player, almost anybody who played with or against him say he was the best.

Neville was always a solid 7/10, there’s an argument to be had there.

I dunno about Irwin vs Robertson but I'd think Neville > Alexander-Arnold isn't up for discussion.

I also prefer Mane to Salah, but how do you leave 99 Giggs out?

These are always hard with two great sides in different eras.

Rueduciel which team do you support? Do you think Jose Mourinho is still a world class manager?

posted on 16/7/20

Of course Mourinho is still a world class manager. Mourinho is the greatest manager, the best in the world.
