Gotta hope we wants to stay, we don't have an option to buy as part of the loan
I think if we pay to Real what they want that Dani would want to stay with us.
Ceballos has already he wants to stay and we have been negotiating with Madrid. A fee of £22m seems to have been agreed. Though its supposed to be a tentative agreement at the moment.

I think or rather I'm sure that if we are willing to pay clubs what they want for players, we could have a lots of them.

What if player doesn't want to play for a club that wants him? Don't be smartass.
Ceballos has improved massively and keeps us ticking in MF.
Ceballos alongside a real combative mobile MF would work.
Partey would obviously be the drleam signing
We just need quality additions. It's embarrassing bringing on the likes of Willock as first change
I could not agree more with your assertion that we need to upgrade on Xhaka to move forward as a club, but could not disagree more with you putting Torreira in that same category. I think he will be a massive player for us once he gets a proper run of games, in his right position - DM - under Arteta.
The rumoured £23m is a no brainer. I was expecting them to want £40m+ and would have said we could probably get better for the money, but at that price snap him up.
Torreira, Ceballos and a genuine world class player to replace Xhaka and I would be happy.

I think Torreira would be great as a squad player, not starter. 2 seasons and I think that he was good but not great. We need great.
Torreira is too small to be effective in this league. We need greater physical presence. It's been a long time we had a real beast in midfield.

I really think this is a common misconception. In my opinion DMs are best when they are small, nippy and agile. The best ones are those who are constantly twisting and turning in attempts to break up the play. Look at Makelele, one of the best DMs ever, and Kante, one of the best around today (despite getting played out of position). Both tiny.
If a greater physical presence is needed in that area of the pitch then I'd much rather it be the guy in the box-to-box/number 8 kind of role.

I think it depends on what you want your holding players to do. If you want him to screen slower CBs then the holding player has to be taller. Many teams in the premier league lump the ball forward in the air. Opposing strikers often take up the space between CBs and CMs. Thats where you need a taller DM to go with the striker so that opposing teams don't win possession from hopeful long balls. Whats more the premier league is based a lot on set pieces and you need tall defenders for match ups. You also need the DM to start moves so he has to be fairly quick carrying the ball out of danger under pressure. So physical power is also very important.
Torreira lacks speed and size. Thats makes him vulnerable to injuries, as has been fairly evident while he has been at Arsenal.
Ideally we need another Gilberto! Or Fernandinho. Or Fabinho. No surprise that the successful teams recently have copied our Gilberto model. I just don't know why Wenger went away from what worked in early 00s.
