Been wearing masks in stores, on public transport etc here in NY since March and Covid is well under control. Everything is back open and running normally....Surely its just common sense ?.... Cant figure out why other parts of the US have such a problem with it or why you need the govt in the UK to tell you to wear one

We have a bumbing fool in charge but he is way tamer than yours diamond!
If it came down to a choice between the two, I'd choose none of them
About wearing the mask, to go out shopping I am not looking forward to that!
Not one bit!
But guess have to tag the party line!

Better a mask than a f*cking ventilator.
About time the British public grew up and stopped being so selfish, you’re being asked to wear a £1 piece of cloth on your face not fight In a bloody war.

"why you need the govt in the UK to tell you to wear one"
Because they've been telling us for the last few months not to wear one, apparently because they do more harm than good when worn by your average clown.
I'm just cringing at the thought of all the "disposable" (but non-recyclable) masks that are going to end up lining our hedge rows, beaches and probably those of other countries too.
They should ban these and make reusable ones compulsory IMO.
