Nice work Kebab. I always think potential targets are the best players of those teams who just miss out on promotion.

I am sure VO will have his sights set far and wide but not a bad place to start?

Good work kebab!

In Bielsa we trust!.. if he said he wants O’kame back to play up top, I’d be like “ok, fair play” 😂

Priorities for me:
9
10
CB x2
GK
DM

As for raiding other champ sides:

Happy have pereira if the baggies don’t go or Benrahma and Watkins if Brentford don’t

Eze from QPR (more of a klich alternative)

The Fulham DM outshone Phillips against us

Just spent a few mil there and I’m only warming up

Pukki worth a punt?

He was the only reason Norwich got promoted last season. Weak team straight back down. Wonder what Pukki could do in our strong squad.

My thoughts exactly, Milky!

Great read. All we need now is some plotting to buy in some more experienced Premier players to plan our staying there.

Would take Pontus if Brentford don't go up <wink>

I'd take Semi Ajayi (can't see WBA going up now in all honesty) and Antonee Robinson (LB at Wigan).

I think we need at least two new strikers. Bamford isn’t good enough and Roberts only has glimpses.

If we get White and a left back our defence will be ok.
If we get a younger Hernandez type our midfield is ok.

However we need to be more than ok so as well as CM, LB, CB (White) and 2xStrikers we need a few (3?) Prem standard players. I don’t want to just fall back.

Meslier, Harrison and White please. Get out of the Augustin deal.

Was thinking about this last night.

While this team has done fa tastic to go up you only have to look at the teams coming down to understand the hard work starts now to make this team good enough to stay up.

Think we need a keeper, I've said all i want to on casilla, so we have meslier and the need to bring one in, and as always, you bring in and you bring in better.

In defense, we have one centreback currently contracted to the club for when the premiership kicks off.

That more than anything for me has to be our biggest priority. Yes the team needs strengthening elsewhere, however 2 centre backs have to come in as a priority. (I'd love one of them to be white though)

We say we need a new leftback every year... and guess what, we need a new leftback for next year

If/when we sign Harrison I cant see us bringing in any wingers, povada, alioski, dallas, Harrison, Costa - all play wide

I doubt we will bring in a dm, Phillips and forshaw will do for bielsa on that front.

We need a striker.

So for me, in order of priority I go

Centreback
Keeper
Centreback
Striker
Leftback

As our priority order.

I agree in the strikers. One similar to Bamford as a lone frintman type and one more of a nippy finisher type. Bamford still has big part to play but potent striking options is critical to how we will do at that level.

At best I can only see Bamford as a squad player, not first choice striker....physically he's too light, imo he needs to bulk up, put a stone of muscle on, he would be more of a threat in the air if he was stronger, centre backs in the Premiership will not feel intimidated by his presence.

posted on 18/7/20

NJS, totally agree, but a stone of muscle is hard work.. also how would that effect his ability to chase after everything?

posted on 18/7/20

Hard work meaning you can’t do it over a month or so in the close season! Takes 5 or 6 months to put a time of muscle on and keep the body fat down to less than 7%

Putting muscle on, bulking up doesn't affect Usain Bolts speed does it....another stone of weight would probably make Bamford stronger, faster...look at him physically he's too thin, he's compromised heading the ball against strong centre backs....some muscle would do him the power of good!

Ps...of course I'm not suggesting he should be all muscle....a sprinter's needs are different to a footballer, don't see bulking up being a problem for Bamford to achieve if the coaching guys think he needs it...

NJS, agree, but bolt doesn’t need to run 30 miles in 90 mins..

Bamford doesn't run 30miles in 90mins haven't you noticed the breaks in play, they get to rest for numerous reasons!

The record marathon time has broken 2 hours for just over 26 miles....

30miles in 90mins....now you're suggesting Bamford is superman 😀....I know you've been drinking Leeds promotion but that's stretching it somewhat!

Would like Mitrovic from Fulham if they don’t go up who are still in with a chance for 2nd place!

Did you see him 2nd half against us? He'd given up. Not for me.

Mitrovic seems a rather moody individual, don't think he would suit the team, or Bielsa.

posted on 18/7/20

Agree mitro not really for us, as much as I like him personally.

We need a forward to play a certain way, imagine a Vardy playing for Bielsa
