This place is full of iver reactions and we have some of the biggest idiots going on this board.

Today was poor, in fact awful.
The passing was abysmal at times and the game was full of errors galore.

But 1 defeat in 20 is a pretty damn good record.

Today was one of those games where no matter what we did it went wrong.
You write it off and move on to bigger and more important games.

The amusing thing is half of the diiiickheads on here were calling for a weakened team to be played as it wasn't as important as the league... now they are acting like we've been battered 10-0 by yeovil.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry Dunc, just one little correction:

One defeat in 20 in elite club football is absolutely exemplary by any standard.

Playing out from the back is “horrible” and “frustrating”.

Changing the system was “stupid”.

Fred and Matic “always looking to play backwards passes”.

“De Gea please just leave” and “has to go” and “is a clown” (not even the usual suspect this time).

The players should be “ashamed“.

“Get these frauds out of the club.”

Can’t be arssed copy and pasting any more ill-educated and reactionary toy throwing. Go have a look yourself.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
there won't be a single fan who wants DDG out of the club for today. there may be plenty who want him out because he has been thoroughly mediocre - and an intermittent liability - for 2 years now.

and there is a difference between "playing out from the back is horrible" and "we are horrible at playing it out from the back". one is nonsense, the other might be a perfectly fair opinion.

some of the rest i can agree with.

Chelsea deserved the win. Maybe had DDG not played we’d have been in the game longer but overall we can’t complain.

We know where our issues lie, defence and options beyond our first choice front 6.

I think United fans can criticise Ole and the players.

Not sure why people like the op have to be so precious about it.

Is there any criticism you think is out of order?

Aye, Some are indeed reactionary, but some, like DDG criticism, whilst overboard, are valid.

There's a lot of valid criticisms around, so maybe ignore the heat of the moment comments.

The other might be an airable opinion; but it’s a terrible one.

By my count, we’ve scored something around a quarter of our goals since the restart as a direct or indirect result of playing the ball out from the back.

People just don’t understand what they’re looking at.

Seems your biggest issues today were fatigue and the fact we played very well. A lot of the reactions have been over the top but then it’s one of those where no one wants their team to lose a cup semi final, most of those folks will probably have a more level headed view tomorrow.

The thing that has annoyed me more than anything was ole's tactics today.

Since the lockdown finished we have looked dangerous in every game we've played, today we didn't.

I think ole maybe showed Chelsea a bit too much respect today by changing the formation instead of sticking to what has been so impressive recently

Bad day at the office all round. Let's move on and hope we do much better midweek.

I would play Romero on Wednesday though. Think he's a calmer presence than DDG and it may do Dave good as well to focus his mind. SAF dropped his GK when he was under pressure and needed a result and DDG couldn't really complain if he didn't play again this season.

I think the plan was to get in at HT level and make it a 45 min game. It nearly worked but errors at awful times cost us. Chelsea deserves to win though.

Some will.

Still, that’s what children do; react to the perceived unacceptability of the immediate situation without consideration of context. There are a bunch of words for this kind of behaviour: petulance, ill-temper, ungratefulness...

Others will ignore a ten-year beating run of form and judge the squad and Ole’s tenure on nights like this, which happen to the very, very best of sides. Those people I call imbeciles.

Nobody’s stopping you having and expressing your opinion.

All I’m saying, personally and subjectively of course, is that it makes you sound like a pathetic, whingeing brat of a crybaby.

DDG made mistake after mistake last season. It cost us Top 4.

At no point did Ole have any interest in dropping him.

He keeps on making mistakes, and Ole calls him the best keeper in the world.

I understand that's what he think he should say, but he's digging himself a hole. There's a problem here he does not want to deal with.

If DDG makes a mistake against Leicester and costs us top 4 - I think the pitchforks will be coming for DDG and it will be hard to stop.

We don't want to see a manager shy away from a problem. We need to see leadership from him. DDG needs support and faith but it's been 2 years and he's been given enough time to turn it around.

I've said it a million times.

There are so many utd fans on here that have only ever known success, and now we aren't the big dog any more they don't know how to handle it.

They have been spoilt by success.

Doesn't make them worse fans, the just need to get a grip of reality.

What ole is doing is a work in progress.... some people just need to show a bit of patience and see past the end if their noses.

I mean we have one fan who shall not be named that wants the season to be over by September every year.

Is fecking pathetic, you support your team through the good and bad times, and if you don't want to do that, feck off and support the blue side

Get a win on Wednesday and all will be forgotten.

It was a bad day at the office. Chelsea deserved the win.
Can not complain about it now, it's done. We have to move on to the next game and raise our level.

No, it's because of penalties being top scorer for us this.
