Giroud has always been effective and amongst the best at what he does. Not exactly breaking news.
Giroud has always been very underrated
Good player. Great signing.
Now understand why I'd have conversations with Arsenal fans back in the day who were adamant he's underrated. Brilliant target man, not the most prolific but links the attack really well.
Really coming in to his own as a clutch player important for closing out a season
Might be down to experience
We’d be comfortably sitting in the top 4 if Lampard had trusted him earlier in the season as our back up striker instead of sticking with Bats.
Giroud has always been a very misunderstood player. He's the perfect target man to have as the focal point in a team of runners. A blunt instrument who can also turn on the style at the drop of a hat. Even Didier Deschamps realised that.
I was sad to see him go. A lot of Arsenal fans won't admit this, but we built our team around him and got about a goal every other game. All everyone seems to remember is that barren spell he had towards the end.
Really hope Lampard benches him for the final.
When Goonz had him & weren't using him, I found it very odd
Then we bought him & did he same thing after a while, & I thought...oh I see
Come good at a perfect time of late though, whilst Tammy remembers to put his boots on the right feet...& was top scorer in our Europa campaign
Bargain bucket money we spent on him

Tremendous value to every club he's been at.
We signed him at 26 for just under £10m, and sold him at 32 for about £15m. Any player at Arsenal who can give 6 years without any major fitness layoffs is practically priceless.
He also took Montpellier to uncharted heights on the pitch, and brought in a massive windfall when he left.
I've always rated Giroud. He reminds me a little of Sheringham: not the most mobile or prolific, but has great positional sense and can read the game very well.
Giroud seems a great professional, too, and is someone I'd trust with using his work-rate and skill to get a job done.
yes you have to give him a lot of credit ,for his play, his attitude and his professionalism.
Tammy still has a lot of learning to do,just hope he's watching a great pro at work.
I always said he was a perfect back up or Plan B striker, but I understand why we let him go. It was the year of the World Cup and he was never going to accept being our 3rd choice striker.
However, if I could go back in time to change events, I'd have preferred to not sign Lacazette, keep Giroud and obviously sign Aubameyang.
We don't really have another option like that off the bench that is as good as he is in the air and brings others into play. Lacazette's link-up play is generally quite good, but he doesn't possess the aerial or physical threat.
Not a fan and disappointed we signed him. Right now he's on fire and on a good scoring run. Can he do it over a season? I doubt it. Misses too many that are costly West Ham away recently at 2-2 missed the ball completely 7 yards out and they score the winner soon after. Even with that I concede that he is our go to guy right now and if he gets us to top 4 all the misse are forgotten.
I remember not so long ago u lot used to laugh at him when he played for Arsenal, now he's your best Striker, how the mighty have fallen
