Considering the talk last week was a Leicester Man U stitch up I'm relieved that will not be an option at kick off

ha, true...that would have been an interesting one, though in practice probably quite tricky to agree on a draw without it looking like match fixing (and running the risk of a points deduction).
think if we avoid defeat vs west ham leicester will assume they need to win (and if you avoid defeat to pool they will in fact need to win)
3 points needed to ensure qualification. The rest is ifs and buts

As I've said. If LFC turn up and lose wednesday night then the home record is blown as well as the other records and any "celebration" lifting the trophy is severely lessened in my view.
Its hard enough watch this going through the motions stuff without the team throwing in goals by providing arsenal assists. If we lose at home when there a podium put in on the kop for a medal and trophy ceremony it'll be embarrassing.
Anyone worried about man utd should see that Leicester have blown it already. Cheslea fans need have little worry about leicester here.
I'd be happy with the draw personally as i dont care about the "home record" we could tie with Chelsea on 18-1-0. To lose at home would be criminal of the side.
The draw will do Chelsea no good as their GD is rubbish and 2 draws could condemn them to 5th in theory.
In theory Chelsea are spending load of money to buy the league so it'd be hilarious to see them miss out on havertz and have to "make do" with ziyech, mount, pulisic and werner.. .along with CHO, grioud, abrahams etc.
the reality is however that Chelsea deserve the spot more than leicester on the form since covid, well done to them, as a group
This'll probably bite us in the a*se if we do it, but we should play to win, Leicester's defeat gives us the luxury of going all in.
It's been quite humbling seeing City & Liverpool destroy all the PL records we set over the last 15 years, mixed in with a few others falling at the same time (Spurs home record, always beating West Ham, etc...), we NEED to protect the unbeaten home record! It's the only one left I think.
Liverpool are still quite a way off, they'll need two more undefeated Anfield seasons, but still just kill it before there's even a sniff they might get close. They ended ours, lets end their's
Good thing about having Lampard as manager is he should understand what this means. He played almost every minute of that 80+ game run, it's built off the back of his work more than anyone else, he won't want it to fall.

Are you really bothered about the records?
I remember GB wanting an unbeaten season, and then others wanting to smash City's points records.
But since Covid no one cares
