Think it's harsh to put it on him too much, he hasn't signed any of his own players and has spent his time making us more solid at the back. He can still build forward

True, but if he spent his time practicing that, then we could still be a total mess with no defensive shape, just dominating games but leaking goals.

I don't think he can fix everything at once and starting at the back makes sense to me.

We have a lot attacking players. So it would be better to do it that way. Like Lampard has done. Then you can bring defenders. Not sure it will be easy doing it the other way. Especially if we don't go into next season without Europa. Fa Cup now takes on a new level of importance.

technically speaking most goal kicks could be a shot on target then. if nobody touches the ball it would eventually roll into the goal

We have a lot of strikers but no midfield. Thats been an issue from Wenger days.
