I must admit I was surprised they are talking about Chelsea as if they have come from nowhere. They have won more trophies in the 20th century than any other club.
I think Frank should get the plaudits. After the opening day result, I thought they were in for a long season.

The other day on an article somebody posted pundits who had 6 out of 22 predict us as getting top 4.
The link I just posted had 2 pundits out of 21 saying we’d get top 4
That is 8 out of 43.thats 18% so yeah we over exceeded expectation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the link you posted? you mean the link that showed 3 out of 21 - not 2 - and that was cropped to exclude the 3 pundits at the bottom who did predict top 3 for you?
as you can see here:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49258004
bloody hell, that's a trumpesque approach to the evidence.
To be fair to preseason predictions I don’t think even the most informed pundit could’ve predicted how weak the league has been.
United were garbage till last 14 league games and finished 3rd, Chelsea lost how many?! And came 4th

Frankly speaking this season is huge achievement for Chelsea, considering we have new inexperience manager, couldn't buy a single player plus hazard off to Madrid. We did a great job, possibly under those circumstances best in EPL. Winning FA Cup would be cheery on the tort. We brought in young players such as Mount, James, Pulisic etc, at the start of the season when my aim was to finish around 8th place with 4-5 yaoun players to settle in our team as a solid base for next season so yes, Chelsea over achieve this season even if we would lose next week against Arsenal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You bought Pulisic know Hazard was leaving for 60m before the ban
You bought Kovacic last summer.
Im not buying the transfer ban excuse
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We're not selling it - well not to you anyway!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kovacic was with us the season before anyway and if anyone here thi ks Pullisic is as good as Hazard then I'll have what they are smoking.
Let's not also forget that Kante has been non existent this season, mainly due to injury.

Looool init. This dandruff guy seems to have some agenda. Been talking this rubbish last few weeks. Fact is the majority didn’t expect us to do it and even if they did it’s still a great result considering everything that’s happened this year.
People really underestimate the loss of a previous poty in kante and how reliant we were of another poty hazard
Once Frank figured out that he had to play Giroud then things stayed to look good for Chelsea.
It will be interesting to see how both our teams move on into next season.
Over to Ed now.
It's quite simple really Chelsea have over achieved this season and United have underachieverd.
I think considering Chelsea ultimately secured 4th place over Lester City, a team with a worse squad than Chelsea, that finishing 4th isn't a crazy good achievement. Its basically where Chelsea should be.
What dandruff is referring to is I said nobody on here expected us to get top 4, someone else also said not many pundits did either. He’s confused that to say that nobody expected us to get top 4
Nah it's an over achievement mate. There's no other way to dress up the fact three of this team's critical counterparts throughout the season - Lampard, Mount, Abraham - were all in the Championship last year. Add to that losing our best player whose replacement was Sancho's backup last year (straight facts) & this is nothing but an over achievement.
