Hi Spanish. Regards Investment for a promotion push.
Well if we believe what we are told about Mr Marinakis, money is not a problem. In fact too much is the problem.
League rules dictate the level of spending. But just throwing money at it hasn’t worked for years at Forest.
When money is tight, there’s a better chance it’s spent wisely. We’ve paid out ridiculous wages to some very questionable players. This last year we have tried to copy Wolves and it’s backfired.
Our football is boring and I think based on fear.
I would like to see Paul Cook from Wigan as our manager. A no nonsense players manager who creates great team spirit and has an eye for talent.
Wigan were far better than us in both our games. Mind you that wasn’t hard ! We punched way above our weight all season.
If he goes to a club that can back his ambition then I think that will be a winning combination.
Hutch - great insight, thanks
nice to hear other fans views on things as sometimes fans can be so blinkered to their own club, me too, though I've always said I'm more a football fan than simply a Leeds fan, of course I consider myself a big Leeds fan, but I like to think I can appreciate a little more than just Leeds.
Brentofrd aside that is, I still havn;t finished with the Berentford fan girls yet
To be fair, I've often said how I find it really frustrating that if a team gets a few gems in their squad, but can't keep hold of them as the 'big clubs' come knocking, makes it impossible to build a team.
Brentford prime example really, if they don't go up, they'll lose momentum and half their squad, having to start from scratch.. its the fans I feel sorry for, because I don't think the Brentford owner would be that bothered, he'll make a tidy profit on some players, rinse and repeat.
Back where we belong, eh?
