Also I'm not believing any transfer involving Sancho unless reported by Matth

I am genuinely interested in how they make it work, are their sponsorship deals worth that much that they can cover all the costs. They basically spend on average £100 million a year say, over the last 10 years. Haven't reached the CL many of those years. Then have to pay wages etc. Just doesn't seem viable.

But I don't know the official ins and outs. Was just a quick browse of their transfer history

People cry at City for this, but usually they actually get a good price for their purchases, Utd are something else. 200M for Maguire and Sancho. Facking disgraceful.

80+108+add ons=200

Still, John stones £50m

he's one of England's finest.

Please say that again, I’m not quite sure I heard you properly first time

Is that a Liverpool fan defending City's spending. Well I never. Wasn't VVD more expensive than any City buy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And the keeper
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't say they weren't worth it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally irrelevant to the OP’s rant
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah bringing up VVD and Alisson in the first place was kind of irrelevant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really, it was highlighting the point it’s not just United who spend big, wether or not they are good or not is neither here nor there
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dunno, I'd personally say the quality of the player is a big contributing factor as to just how outrageous the fee is perceived to be.

van dijk is only the 15th most expensive player and alisson is 39th...

The OP is doing a little bit of winding up, me thinks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think so?

Anyway I'm no United fan but at least it's their money being spent
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be fair, plenty of people have said that City are responsible for the inflated football fees in the past.

Every transfer where an agent is involved has an agent fee.

So forgetting how it’s turned out for say Van Dijk who obviously looks worth it now
At the time of purchasing that player from Southampton you wouldn’t say £75m was a lot of money for him ???
Because I seem to remember at the time of purchase lots of people on this site were mocking the size of the fee and most of your fans were saying “it’s a position we need to improve so what are we supposed to do, we have to pay the ridiculous transfer fee”

Time for a UEFA investigation imo. Sounds far dodgier than City.

Not going to happen.

City paid the equivalent of £60m for their back up right back. £10m more than their first choice right back.

United earn nothing from player sales to fund this lavish purchase of Sancho. It's funded by debt.

We paid that fee without borrowing because we can afford it. Even though, more than half of that fee was covered in player exchange re Danilo.

i naively assume that this article is simply the latest tiresome wum on here, if not you would be better off spending your time educating yourself on united's finances over the last 10-15 years.
