i've heard people say "its to replace bayo"
no it isnt. he'll play before klimala, and likely griffiths at this rate.
You'd think bayo and or Griffiths are out the door though.
Signing Fletcher would be about as worthwhile as Carlton Cole. He will get 10 mins here or there & the Green Brigade will probably give him his own song.
don't see the problem in bringing Fletcher in
He's a good all round player, has assets that none of our current strikers do
he's not going to play much and we're getting him on a free
no brainer
left back, centre half and another striker and that'll be us however i'd like another winger

If someone offer you Eddie taking a contract extension and Fletcher signing on reduced terms as cover you would take it. Save the main dosh for a quality CB and LB
we get fletcher in and ajeti on loan we have 6 strikers.
even if bayo goes, thats still 5 on the books.
does that strike anyone as something our club would want?

If we get another CB in then Hatem can play RB and use Frimpong further forward?
As well as Kade we have Harper & Okoflex that play wide.

Please permit me a small correction.
If we get Fletcher and Ajeti we will have 5 strikers.
If Bayo goes, we will still have 5 strikers.
Same as Ghod, i'm fine with Fletcher coming in. Griff isnt reliable and we might need cover there.
Fletcher is a decent footballer. He'll create chances for our attacking midfielders when he plays. His goalscoring record in the Championship over the past few years is very similar to that of the bear's latest messiah.
Only a fatuous fatty would compare this signing to Carlton Cole.
he still counts as a striker mate
point is, its squad overload and would worry me about 2 things.
1. eddie
2. klimala game time
I'd also rather sign Fletcher for a season that ship out £2m on another
Bayo
Pukki
Bangura
Balde
etc
he's proven in the league and has done well in the Championship and PL

Agreed but its clear that somebody will get shipped out.
Of course we could then be faced with the Morelos problem which is wherr youre desperate to get rid of a player that nobody really wants to buy.

I will accept Fletcher coming along with Eddie contract extension (and Griff punted).these are my conditions, signed GTB
If we sell Edouard we'll be signing a replacement
I think we'll end up with
Edouard
KIimala
Toney
Fletcher
Bayo to Toulouse and Griffiths will go also
so we given up on Toney then?
Calling roofe rangers new messiah has not came from any bears on here.
I more looking forward to itten banging in the goals

I would consider the Swiss league similar to our`s so expect Itten do well enough.
In saying that, Young Boys have Saidy Janko as right back and they won the league

I'm still hopeful on Toney
if we sign toney eddie is gone.
no f...ing way we are getting in 3 strikers and spending over 5 on one without eddie leaving
fletcher as backup, keep eddie.
happy with that.
bayo isnt gna cut it, griffiths isnt reliable and klimala is learning but maybe fletchera experience would help there
i suppose the question is this.
If we keep eddie and he gets injured.
would Klimala, Griffiths, and Fletcher leave you feeling confident the job could be done?
lets not forget we had to play morgan a striker in a cup final last year and his performance was about as impressive as any appearance from jack Hendry.
I'm in two minds, i think we need a better backup option this season, because this season is too important not to.
Dembele could be an option this year. That boy looks good.

I think we need better back up options in defence, but agree with your thinking on the forward line. I suspect Klimala will prove to be a decent signing this season though. Part of me thinks the Fletcher move is calling Fry's bluff on Toney
The thing with the Eddy situation is this time next year he would be 5 months away from signing a pre contract.
If we get Toney in then at least Edouard could leave in January providing we’re looking comfortable for the league and still get over £20 million.

I suspect we will give him a bumper contract with a few key aspects ie he can leave next summer if we get an offer over x amount from a team in y league
It sounds like Fletcher has offered to play for under 10K a week but wants a 2 year deal. Celtic only prepared to offer 1.
call sign i hope that's the deal, we really need him this year.
CB, and backup wingers, priority.
can't be shifting forres to the left, or ntcham, and then dumping Christie on the right again
