I would bite hands off for 6m for Kamara, mainly because i don't like him and Jack in the same team although he's probably a player you miss more once he's gone.

Roofe is wasted when he's played out wide in my experience.

Yep, agree with Lubo.

Docherty isn't good enough and taking up a wage. We already need one midfielder, if we lose Kamara we would need to bring in a second.

And not schedit like Kenny McLean or Lewis Ferguson

Definitely agree that regardless of who we sell a new Cm is what I think we really need.

Docherty though has never had a real chance for us, was Hibs best player. And was one of the best players in League One when down there. Not saying he’d ever be good enough to be first choice, but he has goals and energy in his locker and would be a good sub option surely. If you ask me he is what we were missing against likes of Hearts last year. He’d be as good an option as Lewis Ferguson if you ask me.

Playing Jack and Kamara together in the league is turgid at times and can see the same frustrating nil nils this year. He’s got the best strike out all our midfielders, couldn’t care less for some of the tippy tappy pash and 20 yard passes we see Kamara do in deep areas. Would rather see McCrorie sold than him.

Maybe more a moan at Gerrard tactics though as much as anything though, as Docherty will never get a look in.

I want Docherty to get a chance, two impressive loan spells but no sign of that happening.

Agreed on McCrorie, simply not a good enough footballer. Should make a career for himself in the Scottish Premiership but not with us.

I would definitely take Ferguson though not for anywhere near what he would cost us so a non starter.

Hmmm that's not a promising sign, going to be hard for him to get a game through the middle now it looks like Alfie is staying.

I would say he will spend much more time attacking with us that he did at Leeds so i'm hoping he can produce from the right. Did he ever play behind the striker?

Fair enough. I wouldn't have bought him in the first place as he never stood out against us (although he could have been a level above against the rest of the league and I wouldn't know). Also didn't know that he stood out for Hibs tbf.

Yeah he was pretty effective playing a Shadow Striker role, in my view. But often struggled to get by players and produce when on the wing. Bit of a passenger there.

With any luck that might be the plan, that's an area we need much more goals from so he could be the man.

I don't see Roofe ever playing as an out and out winger. If it was part of a front three it would be a lost closer to the central striker.

We like to keep our wings open for our fullbacks to bomb on and get balls into the box.

I think Roofe would do well in that set up.

I don't think we should have bought Docherty either.

He is just not good enough for the role we are needing a player in. Neither is Kamara, McCrorie or Jack in my opinion...mind you I am near the bottom of the predictor league, so what do I know!

Fingers crossed he does well for you, whatever position he's used in.

We need a box to box midfielder that scores goals, that's what he does.

He was Hibs best player when he joined and Shrewsbury's best scoring a load of goals. Gerrard has never given him a chance, he deserves that otherwise what is the point in loaning out young players.

It is easier to play for a Shrewsbury or even a Hibs than a Rangers or a Celtic.

Some players can and from what I've seen of Docherty he can't.

I disagree that Docherty has not been given a chance by Gerrard.

He has included him in first team squad for preseason training camps and played him in friendlies and the early Euro qualifiers.

Docherty just isn't good enough technically to play in this Rangers team. He works hard and at a certain level he can be a stand out.

But that level is not playing in the Rangers first team against teams like Feyenoord and Porto.

I like Docherty and like his attitude. He didn't complain and just got on with it when he was put down to the development team for the Challenge Cup last season. But even at that level he didn't look as technically good even as someone like Barjonas (who doesn't have Dochertys engine).

I am much more concerned that McCrorie might be going for as little as £500k to Hibees. Anything under £1m is cheap for the Scotland U21 captain IMO.

When McCrorie settles down into a position long term, most likely CB, he will be a good player.

I would imagine it will be a similar deal like Rudden where we have a buy back option.
