The ironic thing about brexit and the toxic election is that the little Englanders who voted for the facists will probably lose their so called precious Union.

And that’s the U.K.’s fault is it?
He fell into the PM gig because he was the Tory that shouted the loudest to get Britain out of the EU..... obviously the "selection process" takes no account of competence and ability to do the job.
It's there for all to see the level of incompetence......and the SNP are delighted..... support for independence is at an all time high

Whilst I tend to agree that Brexit was the key basis for the election win, Corbyn was as much responsible for putting the Tories into power as Boris was.
Diabolical party leadership and should have gone a long time before.
But yes, this government are a shambles. A bunch of charlatans who thought they'd have it easy and then COVID-19 showed up to really highlight their incompetence.

I have a lot of sympathy for those dealing with the virus - a lot of it is unknown and we're learning more every month.
But, there have been some fundamental failings and what really irritates me is that they just can't admit it.
Even the Cummings incident.. they chose to just lie and lie and wait for it to go away.
It's just totally unacceptable.

This is the thing. I keep forming the thought that I should not be too critical of them, as this pandemic is a nightmarish and unprecedented situation with no clear right answer to any situation it throws up... but then I stop and realise that, like you said, it's probably only served to highlight the kind of leaders they would have been anyway: incompetent, dishonest and uncaring.
I just don't understand the shock of how bad Johnson has turned out
the guy is an idiot he is basically just Trump this side of the pond
Patel, Hancock, Williamson, Rees Mogg, Raab, Grayling, Cleverly, Sharma, Jenrick
any of those names above could be sacked any second now and not one person would be shocked
anyway as mentioned above its hopefully going to push the support for indy toward numbers that we need

Come on Ging you know well where the election was won. Tories pretended to be the working mans party and to save them from big bad Europe. Hook line & sinker. As much as I’d like an independent Scotland it would suffer immensely were it to attempt to run its own affairs right now.
It wouldn’t have even been able to raise the money for the furlough scheme. And it will be quite revealing to see how much it wants to examine its own affairs when the SNP come under the spotlight over the Salmond debacle.
