We put Barca on life support. Bayern merely pulled the pug.
I hope it’s Poch. I’m really curious to see how he fares at a genuine big club.
Poch won't get it
a former espanyol player and manager who once said he'd never manage farsa
there is too much opposition from within the club for that
espanyol and farsa have a real dislike of eachother....alot of greaseball dago stuff, internal spanish politics etc, that might be unknown to yous anglos
Koeman's would make more sense - Poch wouldn't be a popular choice for a club whose fans are already pretty peed off.
espanyol and real madrid have a "special relationship"...lets say that
like the UK and USA
real club deportivo espanol de barcelona
the royal spanish sports club of barcelona
that's espanol's full title
Yeah, liga 2 now aren't they !
The Dutch press reported Barca had negotiations with Koeman and he will bring Schreuder with him as his assistant who was a former assistant of Nagelsmann and Ten Hag.
I think he wants a German influence in the Barca game which means a lot of running.
Barca really are a basket case. Koeman was found out at Everton. Imagine the uproar if he got a big job in England.
It's very funny to watch them make bad decision after bad decision.

I think Koeman would be a good appointment for them.
Similar to Zidane at Real. The players will respect him and his medals as a player.
Koeman did well at Southampton and he was the one who wanted VVD there. Everton is a joke club.
Koeman...didn't he fail at Saints???
Does anyone still take Dutch managers seriously anymore?
Has the much vaunted Dutch coaching pipeline produced anyone decent in the past 10-15 years?
Only one I can think of is Philip Cocu. Bossed the Dutch league with PSV, but he isn't exactly pulling up trees at Derby, is he?
Koeman couldn't manage Southampton or Everton very well. Talk about jobs for the boys if he lands the Barca job. He may last a season.
They would have been better going for Klopp. Give him a chance to manage a real big side.
As I remember Koeman did quite well at Southampton
Give it to maradona just for the crack

Well that's the point. He's supposed to last long enough for the next presidency where most likely Bartomeu will lose and Xavi will take over as manager.
Koeman did well at Saints tbf. Not so good at Everton.
But he's got a good footballing philosophy and a strong history at Barca.
If I was a Barca fan, I'd be much happier with Koeman than Poch (who doesn't know how to win).
Koeman was champions with PSV and Ajax, failed at Valencia, then resurrected Feyenoord, did well at Southampton, failed at Everton and then resurrected Netherlands. He is good with youth and building a team. Plus he is a good man and a gent, with a great footballing career. Exactly what Barca needs.

More chance of seeing Pochettino at Brighton than Barcelona.
