BD were aware earlier on of the fact they will be declaring financial losses and would lose negotiating control once the news breaks out. Which led to the reason of demanding the transaction signed and done on their terms before the declared date of Aug 10th.

In the post aftermath of the financial news...plus spending 30m on Bellingham - they are more and more realising this is a buyers market due to financial issues and sell their prized Sancho to at whatever 'reasonable' price. Sooner than later they have to make up that deficit by selling
