Shh, let our rivals focus in slagging the signings down, don't let them know there is more going on at Chelsea than meets the eye.
His reputation is based on his defensive and set piece specialisation by the way!

I was thinking more about our fans JFDI
Not really concerned about what other fans think!
A little more info on him!

I know but you know they are all over this board waiting to snipe.
I saw a good article on him earlier but I can't remember where exactly, I think it was FB. I also saw a post suggesting if he was any good why were Wigan so bad but I guess that's to be expected lol.

"Anthony Barry, the newest addition to Lampard’s backroom team.
He’s not a defensive/set-piece specialist, but he was a top student on the Pro Licence course Lampard and Morris were on and everyone at Wigan loved him"

I don't think Frank wanting an experienced assistant staff will be on the agenda anytime soon, going by comments on arrival into first-team management (as follows):
"I wanted them (staff) to be young, so we're fresh, hungry, we want to work and have those new ideas and be forward-thinking."
I admire that stance and commitment (doing it the unconventional way). Whether that confidence is misplaced or pays-off, time will tell...

This is simply not true to the point of it being weird.
As for the coaching appointment it could be a big one. Set pieces look a real issue.
Given our well documented defensive woes last season could Anthony Barry be one of the most important signings we've made or about to make before the season starts?
----------------
no
They're a lot of top young coaches out there that deserve their shot at top, opportunities yet to come their way.
I'm all for Frank giving them a chance. They are the future
I believe we haven't yet made our most important signings. We need a top centre back and a top keeper. These are our most important deficiencies.

Interested in the opinion of Chelsea fans only thank you!
Our most important signing (for this team in development) won't be made until 21/22 I think. It'll be either the CB or DM that'll counter balance all the attacking talent of this window. That player, if things go as planned, could win us the league
