Real hipsters player this guy, I've never seen him play but known him by name for yearsssss, and judging by him being a natural 'libero' (yeah, fancy huh lol) on Football Manager, which is rare, I imagine he's brilliant technically.
Low risk high reward move, no complaints
No risk in this signing whatsoever.
Does well on-loan, plays for Chelsea first-team in future.
Doesn't meet the required standard, gets moved on for a healthy profit.
Astute buy.
Who is he being loaned too?
Bundesliga seems to be the league rumoured as Sarr' loan destination.
CL club will do
I was thinking he might be a good partner for Silva - but I guess not if he’s going out on loan.
Who do you think will end up as Silva’s first team centre back partner this season - and who do you think will leave?

I reckon Zouma
But I reckon they will all get a turn and he'll eventually settle for who he thinks fits best.

Silva generally plays at RCB. Zouma was probably our best CB last year but his most assured performances came at RCB too. His awkwardness on the ball was much more frequently exposed when he played at LCB. The only player who looked somewhat comfortable at LCB is probably going out on load (Tomori).
I can't imagine Lampard shifting Silva to LCB so I can see whoever takes that spot struggling somewhat. Though I'm hoping Silva's leadership and organisational abilities will help the situation a bit.
Can't argue with any of that mini though I have vague recollections of Zouma having a pretty good game on the left v West Ham during our last ever trip to their old ground. But I'm old and the memory isn't what it was.
You're still a young pup compared to some of us JFDI
Silva can't play every game at his age...intensity will be significantly higher than what he is used to, will have to adapt.
I believe Frank will go with fluid CB partnerships again, which I approve of.
Schedule will be ridiculously compressed & congested, more than ever this season, taxing.
Every CB will have to play their part, in rotation accordingly.
I'm curious to know what Frank intends to do with Ampadu this season. Player wants to stay, will he?
I want Ampadu to stay, due to his ability & versatility of playing in defence and midfield...there will be more than enough games this season to share the workload and spread the minutes appropriately.

You mean sandy ?
Wonder where he goes on loan
Any background info on the story with Tomori?
Get the sense he has to prove himself again. Which is weird as he was POTY at Derby in Frank's first season and performed well enough for a debut season with us.
Not sure why Frank has gone so cold on him.

To be honest, I don't get the loaning him out thing. The lads 21 and had 4 years first team experience anyway - is there really any point in loaning out?
From what little of him I've seen he already looks better than Christensen and far more cultured a player than Zouma!

Malang Sarr an exceptional signing for Chelsea - a victim of Vieira's regime & Dante, who hurt gifted leader Sarr's confidence by playing him at left-back & robbing him of crucial progression at left CB. Has the potential to become France's best left sided central defender.

Despite Chelsea’s problems in defense, and possibly due to Sarr having had a relatively difficult 2019-20 season, it makes sense that the club would immediately look to loan him out to help him build up confidence
If we loan out both Tomori and Sarr then can we put a clause in their contracts where they can be recalled at any time ? If such a clause is possible. Both are future Chelsea players I suspect.
I suspect they’ll be loaned out to decent clubs on a season long. It’s not impossible, to have a mutual agreement clause, but in most likely event , it won’t happen.
