Literally sent a text to my Dad earlier this morning saying: "Will be good to see Saliba". Have been hearing comparisons to a young Varane.

A match usually billed as 'the season's traditional curtain raiser', this year feels barely like a peep behind the side of it. Tbh I haven't even checked to see when it kicks off.

Hope for a good result. Another good performance would be just as pleasing though.

This is still regarded as a competitive fixture so getting the season started with a hiding isn’t exactly the best preparation

Yeah, we should just smash lowly teams, telling us nothing and go into the season with no real competitive action

For me it is a training game. Half of our squad in quarantine, injured or not ready. So not really care about the game today. Liverpool will be too strong for us but hope we can give them a good game.

Will be good to see Saliba and even Willian if he plays. Liverpool are going full strength so not expecting much from the game

Especially given the circumstances it will be a pretty much a nothing game, rather we don’t get smashed but not bothered about the result. Main thing will just be to see how new signings fit in and see what some of the youngsters are like

The squad is very thin hopefully we can have some issues resolved by the Fulham game but seems unlikely.

Crazy season is going to start in 2 weeks. I doubt we will have other signings before then bar gabriel and Auba signing da ting

You just said the new season is 2 weeks away. We could have a friendly against more competitive opposition closer to it. Pre season is about match fitness. Lol @ the Liverpool team btw. They sure as hell aren’t treating this as a friendly

Would expect so, but nothing announced. Would expect a couple of local games against League 1 teams.
