Morning, I only really enjoy the latter stages of the champions league, but support which English teams are left in.

Last night I watched Man city and I was shouting at the Tele at times.Tevez is a complete wucfit and should be made to be a lolipop man for the school kids in Manchester for the duration of his contract.

A fella I work with is an everton fan and his wife hates Aston Villa with a Passion, and she doesn't know why!

I agree send him to Town as punishment and put a clause in his contract he must play too

Teams in Europe.

I always want any English Team to win in Europe. The more English Teams progress the better it is for our game. Look at how Scottish football has tumbled down the coefficient rankings in recent years to see this.

The team I cant stand.

Liverpool, for reason stated below.

1, Hillsborough was a terrible accident where mistakes were made including Fans running the gates. Now lessons had to be learnt from Hillsborough, but the Liverpool fans still ran the gate in Athens in 2007 for a Champions League Final. If they expect authorities to learn they have to learn too.

2, When they beat AC Milan two years previous they thought they owned the Champions League.

3, if they were in Europe I would still want them to progress, but not too far

Morning Darn,

I should have added in moss side too!

It's bloody lovely here today, got the day off so I'm off for a bike ride along the prom in Hoylake.

A bit random, but who cares

The Man Utd thing is tricky for me as (discounting Altrincham FC) they have been my local team for the last 10 years so I like it when they do well. Plus they are my sons local team and so whilst I will make sure he is also a Town fan, he will undoubtably be a Utd fan aswell. I would rather that then City anyway!

As for Tevez I hope they put him in the reserves and dock his wages if he doesnt turn up. I cant see any top team taking a chance on him as this "I want to be near my family" stuff is BS as he has always moved for the money, never for family reasons. I believe the day after he put his transfer request in and was saying how much he missed his family he was off to Teneriffe with an 18 year old actress!!!

Actually maybe the best punishment for him is to make him use his contract being the gate man at the training ground. He likes wearing beanie hats and sat in a shelter anyway!!!

Hope you have a good time, Wethers.

Can't stand traipsing around shops myself.

Get her to shop on line. Much better.

Just to pi££ off Blatter & co. I love English teams doing well in Europe.

Purely based on a non too pleasant experience after a game, would have to say Hull. Disgraceful fans.

As for Tevez, the best thing that could happen to him would be locked in room for 2 days with old Warnock. Yer wouldn't hear a peep from him ever again

Must admit I don't like Hull and Stoke from similar experiences.

I can vouch for Stoke too Hydy!

Won't go back to that place after my last and only visit to Victoria Ground!

Port Vale Fans are really nice though and from the same area

liverpool.. they blame everyone else for anything that has ever gone wrong for them..
they assume they are hilarious as they are from liverpool???
they always refer to other scousers as "the salt of the earth", which having spent time there is totally untrue..
they had years when commentators spoke about "the knowledge" of the kop whilst they pushed forward and had injuries every week in the bloody thing..
hillsborough was a tragedy waiting to happen.. the same thing had happened at lots of major cup ties and large numbers of people were going to these sort of games without tickets in the knowledge that a late "surge" at the gates would get a good number into the ground..
mistakes were definitely made but would never have been an issue otherwise..
liverpool produced stan boardman....enough said.. i dont even like the beatles..

liverpool is followed closely by large numbers of clubs who are nowhere near london but whose fans have assumed the role of "cheeky cockney chappies" and have assimilated the "capital" into their lifestyles and think they wouldnt look out of place in "eastenders"...

I was at Stoke on our only visit there, they equalised in injury time! Not pleasant fans. That was 3 days before the Twin Tower attack 10 years ago!

wetherby..
have you ever spent any time in stoke???

if you did you would know why they are angry all the time..

the people of oldham and burnley should be apoplectic at all times really...

huddersfield isnt great but we can bask in the knowledge that its close to nirvanah than these places...

posted on 28/9/11

The only time I have spent in them places was watching Town. 38 did you ever go to the old Victoria Ground ?

posted on 28/9/11

Wetherby were you with us at stoke? They were spitting at woman and kids!

posted on 28/9/11

Hydy.. Me, you and your twin went.

I went to Stoke's old ground. That were a proper dump!

Anyway, tried posting again at work on this site this morning. I actually managed to log on succesfully this time as well. Got my piece written out......and then it wouldn't post. I really do find this place annoying. But seeing as my beloved has done another TOTD, I shall put up with these wee foibles.

1. English teams in Europe - Don't care really. I can't see the point of the Europa League. Teams strive to qualify for it, but once they're in it, they treat it like it's the JPT or summat. Mick McCarthoss has the right idea, saying if Wolves ever get close to it, they'll start losing on purpose.

2. Irrational dislike - Mine is Wigan Athletic. I can't explain why. I ought to like them, being an underdog in the premiership, showing smaller clubs that they can get up there and survive.......But I can't stand 'em. There's no logical reason why. Jealousy maybe?

3. Tevez - I think Mancini's played this all wrong. He should have kept it in house instead of blurting it all out to the media, saying he'll never play for the club again. You wouldn't get a top manager like Lee Clark doing owt like that.

I went to the 'Victoria' ground,
FA Cup tie, in the early 70's....
3-3,
'we' were winning 3-1 with little time Left... years later it would appear nothings changed ...
There was a good few TOWN fans there, But splintered all over the place, Cracking atmosphere,
even though I don't like them, They make it (or did...or DO) a very intimidating place to be...A-la-The Den.

Finding my way back to the station trying to be inconspicuous wasn't a very pleasant experience, & one i wouldn't want to have to do again, (I was only a 'pup' at the time, But 'they' would have nobbled me good & hard all the same)
